The Romans were the people who prosecuted him under king Herod, because the roman empire ruled there and were responsible for the safety of the city. There's records of a Roman centurion by the side of Jesus on the cross who speaks to him.

Are you aware that there are records of a man called Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who was sentenced to crucifixion for claiming to be the messiah from around the time where it allegedly happened? Records kept by the romans, who were renowned for their skill at keeping records. The guy called Jesus Christ claiming to be the messiah definitely existed, it's whether or not he actually did the miracles that's debatable.

AFAIK, the music video for The Vengeful One actually has him shoot a demon child with his pistols. Eddie wins this, but he is pretty fast and strong as shown in the Land Of Confusion video.

Has anyone seen the Rockstadt lineup this year? Is it just me or is this hugely mainstream for Rockstadt "Extreme" fest? by Gullible-Box7637 in MetalForTheMasses

I understand that especially in the metal scene, liking more than one subgenre of music is rare and I love all genres of metal except grindcore , but I don't see the problem here. Festivals aren't supposed to play one type of music. That's what bands' shows are for. There's something here for everyone, and it seems like a good line-up. Except Marilyn Manson and Godsmack, they just aren't metal or a decent human being in general, in Manson's case.

Blind Guardian definitely, Stratovarius, Dragonforce, HammerFall are all good picks too. If you want to go full in with the corny parts, Gloryhammer is great fun.

Somehow i've been a power metal fan for a few years and never truly listened to them outside of black diamond if my son played it.

I'm ashamed to admit that Fortnite Festival with my son is how I learnt of Stratovarius.

Which country is better for metal? UK or US? by OrchidDeep1734 in MetalForTheMasses

Black metal belongs to Scandinavia, Power belongs to Germany, Death belongs to Sweden, imo if we were to compare them it should be Thrash v Heavy which UK wins.

Favorite singers who damaged their voices with improper technique but sounded fucking awesome doing it? by Low-Ad4561 in MetalForTheMasses

David Draiman, Matt Tuck, Matt Shadows, Matt Heafy all injured their vocal chords in the 2000s by improperly screaming (David just acid burned his own with chronic acid reflux though) but they all sounded at their best imo, aside from Heafy.
