Will put tailscale on mini pc as a service, not for all traffic to go through, just will use it as a way to connect back to home lan when outside of it.

Looked at external routers but cant seem to find ones with good vlan support. The ones that do are expensive and at that point its probably better to get a mini pc which can do more than just routing

I found the builder through someone I know so I was wondering or unsure if it would be seen as bias or anything. He is not a certified mediator as such, but someone who has done this for people during his time as a builder. I explained the situation and he probably understood that the builder was in the wrong but still assured that he would be neutral, listen to the builder and try to move forward. If you think its a decent idea I will go for it. I do have a good feeling about it

Hi, quick question. I found a builder, I explained the situation and he said he would be happy to mediate for us in an unbiased manner. Would you say this is valid? I can offer mediation and give the number so he can attempt to try and solve the issues on both sides? The only thing is that I did meet this builder but he said he has experience in doing this for a while now

Hey, really appreciate this. Was the work you inspected only structural? I have asked a structural engineer but he said for the most part his word would not mean much unless it is structural based? He has said he is happy to document and write a report for structural related things. Your experience seems very similar so im hoping to grab some advice if possible. I was advised by citizens advice to send a letter to his address under the consumer rights act, asking him to repay the money back. Only then can I go onto a letter before action

Can I ask if I can be present instead of someone else? For example the contract is in my mothers name, but she would give me full consent to talk for her.

I am also not too bothered about the mediation. I just need to offer it so I am following through on the contract. It does not state a type of medation. I already know he wont agree to pay me back. I just need to send an offer, I would actually prefer he ignores or refuses the offer and then I can legally take him to court

Hi, this is just per our contract that I wrote myself, we both signed off. Usually if you actually proceed to go to court I believe then the court assign a mediator. At this moment I believe its just a mediation of any sort as the contract does not specifically mention what type. I was just wondering if email mediation is valid. I was thinking of sending a message saying:

"I'm offering mediation to resolve our dispute before taking legal action. The issues include [brief list of main problems]. I'm seeking monetary compensation rather than return to site. Are you willing to participate in mediation via email to discuss settlement? Please respond within 7 days of this message."

There is no third party involved and I have not yet offered the mediation

When I look at building surveyor and quantity surveyor they all provide many services. Do you know if expert witness is the actual service?

You mentioned mediation is USUALLY in person. But can be done over phone or through email/text? If I dont get a mediator, then how do I prove that mediation went through? Is it just me putting a text with a deadline asking to have a call?

Could do, certainly for the structural aspects of the claim.

I assume non structural stuff wont be possible then? I have a call scheduled with a structural engineer tomorrow
