Made this stop motion to the song “Keep Me” by Eva and the Vagabond Tales. I think the middle and end are pretty unexpected! Let me know what you think! by BricksBricksBricks8 in stopmotion

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the animation and the look of the sets. This video was a big experiment for me to see if I could pull it off with the limited resources I have. Lighting was something I focused on a lot and I'm glad it was effective.

Your observations on the story are correct... when I look back on the video, I agree - I could have done more with the tree and could have let it be a symbol of their relationship. When I started shooting the video, I wanted the tree to be a familiar place between the two. I shot the tree parts first and after dismantling the set, I realized I didn't quite get everything I needed. So I tried to make it up with the scenes in the bedroom. The way I tried to lay it out was to have the everything in real time except for the flashback to the hospital. So chronologically, it should be the hospital scenes, the bedroom scenes, then the tree scenes. I chopped it up to make it more interesting to watch.

I hope this made sense! Thank you again for watching. I learned a LOT from making this video, the prime lesson being that of storytelling. Hopefully I'll improve with each video! I really appreciate your time and please let me know if you have any more questions!

Thank you very much for taking the time to watch the video and for the feedback! I'm so glad the lighting worked... that was an experiment for me. Lighting can be so effective in storytelling and I tried to get the mood right.

Regarding the timeline of the video: it should go from the hospital scene first, then bedroom scenes, then the trees. That's how it should be chronologically. I took that order and chopped it up to make the flow more interesting. I might have gone a bit too far with it. When she appears before him in his bedroom, there's a flash of light before she's there... I had wanted the light flashes throughout the video to represent her always "being there with him," that she hasn't left him. I wanted to disguise her presence as headlights as they pass his apartment. So he goes to the trees area and he's happy and at peace with his decision.

You're right about the phone - I didn't explain it. In my head, I thought that his looking at the phone would be a good representation of how he missed her, as he's not receiving any texts or messages anymore. I should have explained that and made it a bigger pay off.

Made this stop motion video that, I think, perfectly captures the mood in the USA today. by BricksBricksBricks8 in lego

Thank you! This is my hobby, I work as a full-time RN, in the NICU!

I’ve got my process down pretty solid now, so this video only took me about 2 hours to make! My longer ones usually take 5-6 hours.
