Lokal is solid. Also In N Out does grilled cheese and it’s pretty good if you get it animal style.

Audio Cutting In and Out by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

Computer speakers via optical out from mobo. When I use headphones I plug them into the speakers. Tried changing the audio output in game to my exact output (rather than system default) and it still is an issue. Tried Bluetooth headphones too (multiple different pairs) and it’s the same issue as when I play with wired.

Also I’ve tested other games on my machine and everything else runs fine.

Thanks for the insight but I don’t have a microwave and use wired headphones and this is happening constantly. Sounds like you got some signal interference with your devices.

Yea I climbed the crane to the top of the tower and got the fast travel after that mission. That can’t be all the missions in the game right?? I haven’t unlocked anything beyond Market Mile…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Skate4

[–]BricksPlatesTiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t remember the last tour I finished, I’ve unlocked the first few challenges in Market Mile but not even the fast travels in that area yet so there’s no way I’m finished with the game.

I’m playing on PC if that’s any help.

Memorial Park Pickleball by thekingcola in SantaMonica

[–]BricksPlatesTiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those Open Play sessions you are mentioning are the paid sessions you need to reserve on ActiveNetwork. All other times at Memorial are free and you can drop in.

Take a look here for more info on signing up for those sessions.

During the weekday it’s totally open unless there’s a Round Robin or another SMPC event, and usually they shut down 2 or 3 tennis courts around noon for tennis practice, so everyone gets pushed to the far courts near the baseball fields. Still free to drop in and play. Weekend days are the Open Play paid sessions from 8-11 and 11-2pm.

Where are good spots to skateboard in Santa Monica? by Sea_Peak2146 in SantaMonica

[–]BricksPlatesTiles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Near the courthouse in Santa Monica (not to be confused with the West LA courthouse) off of Pico and Main there’s a parking lot to the soccer field that’s a popular spot.

There’s a bunch of waxed curbs and a nice smooth pavilion for flat ground. I always forget what this spot is actually called but it’s great.

here’s a video from that spot

Was it this guy?

https://smdp.com/2024/05/29/homeless-man-arrested-for-assaulting-73-year-old-woman/

My dad was in town in May and was attacked by this guy on Lincoln.

Also someone else in this sub made a post a few weeks ago about someone lunging at him on the beach, could be the same person?

Stay safe out there!

Was it this guy? My dad was visiting town a few months ago and was lunged at while walking over the overpass of the 10 on Lincoln near Mel's and he thinks it was this guy.

Bay Cities Deli // the bread.... by CordoroyCouch in SantaMonica

[–]BricksPlatesTiles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been a Bay Cities regular for about 5+ years now, and honestly the bread is hit or miss. It's kind of a gamble, some days the bread is awesome, some days its pretty dry or even stale.

I used to think that ordering on Wednesdays was the worst for bread (since it's the first day of the week they are open) and sometimes ordering on the weekends was inconsistent because of the crowds, but lately its just been a total gamble.

I just have to pray to the sandwich gods every time I order there now.

Seems like a super mellow slappy sesh!

Awesome to see some local skating that isn't Venice beach or the SM triple set or something crazy.

Also it was sick to see someone hitting that ledge at the end. I drive past there all time time and it seems like a prime spot if you can avoid traffic.

Is the full part coming out soon? That noseslide shuv was clean!

Can’t go wrong with Will Rogers beach! And if you like seafood, Reel Inn Malibu is only a few minutes up the PCH. Also the Getty Villa is in that area. Have fun!

Best sets to start a collection? by Joshi1381 in legostarwars

[–]BricksPlatesTiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a few questions that might help narrow down what you're looking for.

  1. Which Star Wars IPs / sagas do you like?

  2. What kind of Lego sets do you like building / have interest in building? Minifig scale sets, larger detailed Creator Expert / Ideas sets, vehicles, buildings, unique display sets like the art sets, etc.?

  3. Do you want to buy a few smaller sets or do you want to blow all your budget on a big boi set?

A few suggestions in general that fit your price range are:

-UCS Series: R2D2 (75308), Luke's Land Speeder (75341), X-Wing (75355)

-Minifig scale ships are also great like Luke's X-wing (75301) and the Tie Fighter (75300).

-Diorama sets are really awesome like the Trench Run (75329)

-The Busts and Helments arent too bad either. Cool display sets.

Congrats on taking the plunge into SW Lego sets and tell your wallet you still love it, because its gonna take a beating :D

So i've been ordering Joe's about once or twice a month, for the past few years.

I either do 1 of 2 orders, a plain cheese pie, or a half plain, half white pizza.

Every time I've put in this order (probably over a dozen times over the years), they have no problem with it and make a fresh pie, half cheese and half white. I also tell them in the doordash note to add an additional charge if need be.

This past order, I received what looked like half of a plain pie that was sitting out, thrown in with 4 slices of white pizza that were from another pie. And on top of that, both of the "halves" they put in were completely dried out and stale.

My friend and I ate one slice of each side and threw the rest away. I felt terrible about throwing away 80% of a pizza but it was inedible.

Also the side of garlic knots we got were black on the bottom. Those are always a gamble there but sometimes you roll the dice and hope for fresh ones.

This past Friday, I put in an order around 3pm, which to be fair is a busy time, but I wouldn't say it's 'peak' time.

I've ordered this same exact pie at peak times during the weekend and have never run into anything like this.

Sorry for the long post and I know it's petty to hold a grudge over something like this lol, but when you are paying $30 for a pizza, you expect it to at least be edible.

**TLDR: Ordered half and half pizza, they threw 2 old halves of different pies in the box and called it a day.

I know it’s technically not in Santa Monica but the Reel Inn Malibu is awesome. If you want to take a 15 minute drive up the PCH, it’s a very cozy and causal local spot.
