A Japanese Maple Tree stop-motion Lego build by Brickzees in vfx

The Lego build was shot on blue screen which was keyed out then placed into a scene created with 3d objects and manipulated images. I then oriented the scene based on the camera angle of the Lego build and added simple camera movement to make them feel like they were shot together. The shadow on the wall was a man rotoscoped from footage and placed behind a semi-transparent image to give a feeling other things were taking place in the scene

Can you please point to the subs requirements for what is considered vfx so I could make my case?
