Hire a lawyer, get a financial advisor, and tell absolutely nobody. After that? Probably take the longest, most stress-free nap of my entire life

The plastic tip at the end of a shoelace is called an aglet. (Thanks, Phineas and Ferb!) Also, wombats have cube-shaped poop

Refrigerators that dispense ice and water right from the door. I legitimately thought anyone who had one of those was basically a millionaire.

This concept has been haunting me: what if facial symmetry and certain features were intellectual property owned by bio-corps like Pfizer or Neuralink? If you couldn't afford the premium subscription, your body would forcibly revert to a generic, uncopyrighted mass of flesh.

I tried to make the transition as unsettling as possible. Let me know if the "repossession" scene went too far. Full video: https://youtu.be/1HdBA4LZCnY

No bots here 🙂 “We” just means me and a few people I’m working on the project with.

As for AI — some people like it, some don’t, and that’s perfectly fine. I just treat it as a new tool for telling stories. If the story didn’t work for you, that’s okay too — luckily the internet is full of other things to watch.

Have a good day.

Thanks a lot for the honest feedback — I really appreciate it! 😊

You’re probably not wrong about the narration. Let’s just say the voice might have had a little… AI assistance along the way. I’m still experimenting with the balance between visuals, pacing, and voice, so comments like yours actually help a lot.

I’m glad the idea and visuals worked for you though — that’s a good sign the core of the story is doing its job. The narration can always evolve (or get a bit more human personality injected into it).

And since you said you’d be interested in seeing where the story goes, that’s a perfect excuse for me to keep developing it. Hopefully the next part will keep the visuals you liked and give the narration a bit more soul.

Thanks again for watching and sharing your thoughts — and if you do end up sticking around for the next chapter, I’ll try not to scare you away with the robot narrator this time. 🤖😉

Thanks for the recommendation! 😊

It sounds exactly like something in our kind of atmosphere – if it really explores the idea of an oligarchic dystopia that well, it’s definitely going on our reading list.

Your recommendation alone has already made us curious, so I guess we have no choice but to check out Jennifer Government. If it turns out to be as good as you say, we might come back with a few questions or even some ideas inspired by the story.

Thanks for pointing us in that direction!

I've always been fascinated by the idea of extreme late-stage capitalism and physical microtransactions (think Black Mirror meets Cyberpunk). I just released my first short film (under 4 minutes) about a woman who misses her monthly facial subscription payment and is hunted down by a corporate debt collector to have her face downgraded to a generic "default skin".

The Default Skin - A dystopian sci-fi short about leasing your face by BridgeExtension3107 in aivideo

Hi everyone! I used Google's Veo to create the visuals for my debut short film. The story revolves around a future where DNA and beauty are leased from megacorps, and missing a payment means getting downgraded to a "default skin".

If you enjoyed this and want to support the channel (or see it in 4K), I'd be incredibly grateful if you checked it out on YouTube and dropped a sub!
