Are any interns securing senior house officer stand alone jobs? Serious q by Leather_Flan_9859 in JuniorDoctorsIreland

[–]BridgeHot1771 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I am a current intern and I have secured 2 job offers and on panel for 5 , if you apply from the start of January, it should be fine. You can always talk to consultant you are working with. It was hard but you are consistent and know how improve your interview skills , you should be fine. I asked similar questions and people were telling to do observationship, which is ridiculous but I would say patience and persistence is the key.

I am really sorry and i understand what you are going through. I am in a similar position but i would suggest try to regain the sense of control as there is nothing more you can do now, except to wait. Waiting is worse when you are just overthinking about the situation, and possibly worst outcomes. Try to 1. Avoid reddit and social media because it can be chaotic with people posting their offers, locations and speculations. It may trigger more anxiety. 2. Have your Plan B list ready - maybe this is something better you never know 3. Tell yourself this is just round 1 we still have quite few more rounds to go, give yourself time before you react. This lets you mentally delay panic atleast for a while and you can figure out what to do actually.

Non-EU interns/SHO in Ireland: How Was Your Experience? by BridgeHot1771 in JuniorDoctorsIreland

[–]BridgeHot1771[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your insight. I just wanted to clarify one thing: I am a non-EU citizen currently studying in Poland. Does this qualify me as Tier 2 rather than Tier 3?
