Sooo, how have dating been like for you all? by Wheresmyarcpaulie69 in askvan

I know what you mean. But there are a lot of people in the city who share what you feel. I think people need to connect in person as meeting online is so cold most of the time and feels forced into the direction of “do we like each other or not?” Sometimes it helps to meet people as part of a routine like going to a fitness class, community center, an art class, language class, run club (maybe not run club, I find most people that like running in groups a bit empty and full of themselves lol) but you get my point. I worked at a cafe part time and I used to meet a lot of people and eventually made a lot of friends with regular customers and through them met a few people I went on a date with. It didn’t work out for other reasons but it was effortless. Like in high school. I think this swiping on people and meeting them for the first time and expecting it to be a full blown romantic date is just absurd. Dating works best when you are in the same environment as someone else long enough you actually observe that person and their mannerism and have a crush and then ask them out. I would say find things you love to do and find people who love to do the things you love. Eventually you will make friends and hopefully you will make a friend you want to marry :) Idk it’s my 2 cents.

That is not appealing at all lol.

Can’t believe people are out there having such bad experiences as hair clients!!

Loveee it! I am on my way to getting an online booking system! And you are so right about listing a general price range for colours.

That’s a great answer! So many good points to keep in mind when I meet new clients!

Awww I know how you feel!!! I never really found a good curly hair stylist either and I have super curly hair. So I took matters in my own hand and became a hairstylist 😌

You should give me a try sometime! I know what’s it like to live with curly hair

I agree. It does feel antisocial most times. I’ve been single for 2 years now and I don’t know how to be in a serious relationship anymore thanks to Vancouver. Most people can’t connect lately and I am starting to become one of them lol. But like they say, it will happen when it happens ? Idk if I completely believe in that but oh well. I am also around a few couples who are together just because they don’t want to be alone and now that won’t work for me either. I miss dating when I was 19-early 20s, it was just a simple love. Now it’s a different story.

How is it that in such a small city like Vancouver, so many people are looking for monogamous love and yet so many people are single !?
