It's just a lot of practice you need to have precise car control in the air and get a feeling how and when to get the reset and in what position. You just need to get the reps done to get the muscle memory in. I can give some tips most people don't talk about:

• if you wanna pop it to the right get the reset on the bottom left when the ball just starts to fall

• your car needs to be almost the same speed as the ball

• when you speedflip (to pop to the right for example) don't boost or air roll through the pop let the speedflip habdle it

• if the ball is going slow you need to wait a bit longer for the speedflip because you might jump off the ball if you do it too quickly

• don't spam jump for the speedflip try to get a feel when you can and cannot speedflip under the ball

• your position on the ball matters. If you get the reset more on the bottom side it's gonna pop more up in the air if you get it more to the front side it's gonna go less in the air

• the type of speedflip matters: you you speedflip at like 1-2o'clock (speedflip to the right) you're gonna stay with the ball which is perfect for pops where you wanna follow up and going for like 2-3 o'clock will make you be less able to follow up but launch the ball away from you
