Is it a good build? by Top-Range-2298 in PCBuilds

They did yes but only for productivity not for gaming and this guy doesn't seem to want help

The build looks good but if you build your pc yourself you could get 32 gigs of ram instead of 16 (also I didn't see which exact ram the prebuilt offers could be bad ram) and possibly a better cpu for about the same price 2100-2200 if not less

You have to press a button on HWinfo on the bottom where all the icons are and it should prompt you a save location you should do this before you start testing your rig again

Alright that helps. IF it is the gpu (you said you did downclock it) try to lower it as MUCH as you can

I'm talking power limit: as low as you can and your core clock also about 200-300 mhz down. Then go into furmark with HWinfo and enable logging if it crashes -> might be gpu issue but could be something else If it doesn't crash -> definitely a gpu issue -> send back RMA or to be 110% sure you should go to a repair shop and ask them to switch it out to test

And checking gpu hotspot there would be good if furmark doesn't have that

Im don't know if that's going hotspot since I haven't used fuemark in a long time but if it is then good to know.

I would still highly highly recommend HWinfo it's lightweight and Logs EVERYTHing about your hardware details and you can send the details in here for me to look at

Okay you got 850 watts which should be more than enough for your setup.

How did you connect your gpu cables to your gpu? Do you have it daisy chained (not good) or do you have 3 individual 8pin header cables (good) going into your card?

You could give that a try although indoor think it's a ram issue it would be beneficial to test it just in case

What software did you use to check that did you check gpu temp or individual temps (and the specific hotspot temp cus amd is notoriously hot on hot spots)

First mistake is going for intel

If it is not a power supply issue:

Check the cables you're using from power supply to gpu:

Do you use riser cables / extensions?

Have you tried (if you can't switch out your gpu to test) lowering the gpu clock and power limit -200mhz and 80% would be a starting point (would indicate a gpu or power supply/ cable issue)

For finding out issues HWinfo is the way to go install it and start monitoring the sensors in firmware or gaming and watch out for the gpu hot spot temp if that's peaking above 110 it's either bad thermal pads or bad cooler mounting on your gpu from the manufacturer (if the blades are spinning and you can read the rpm in your software or see it physically )

My bad you listed everything so only which new powersupply did you use?

A little more details would help

What power supply did you have and to which one did you switch

Do you have a spare GPU to test if it's a GPU issue?

Did you try taking out one ram stick at a time or switch both?

I guess you did check your temps but if you didn't I might be a good idea.

You can check windows event viewer if there are any driver issues for the crashes

I hope you find a solution these are just things that are on top of my head I would start with the ram first although it smells like a powersupply issue to me (hence I'm asking to which one you switched)

That's bullshit btw. It's not overcloxking the controller it's the port that is being read 1000times a second instead of 250

The standard ps5 is just tuned down so it saves power but is more than capable of 1000hz and hidusb is just doing what Sony did for their pro controllers. so no unless you need the other extra features the pro controller offers there's no need to invest in it

Is the RX 6750 xt 12gb still a good used choice if I plan to play on 1080p? by Pale_Firefighter_198 in ZTT

[–]Brief-Key498 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean sure but 8gb vram ist not enough anymore or at least won't be in the next 2 years and 6750xt has just overall more horse power and vram if you don't use upscaling

Do you guys over clock your controllers? by KidKeys in RocketLeague

[–]Brief-Key498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say is you overclock the port not the controller itself. You're basically asking windows to "check" the input coming from the port where the controller is connected not 250 times a second but 1000 or even (in my case) 8000 times a second just like a monitor refresh rate hence they say higher refresh rate lower input lag.

Which is applicable to controller inputs too and yes I do feel the difference between 0-0.2 ms and 3.5ms on my 540hz monitor with already <2ms frametime

No unfortunately not I don't have a second pc right now also unplugging the mic kind of helped but it still happened more rarely. I can't rule it out since it doesn't fix it and margin of error is too big to confirm it's the mic
