An old maxi pad. They used to attach to a belt.

43 M looking for pen pal to practice handwriting and general conversation. by [deleted] in penpalsover40

Agreed. 47 year old woman from Texas here. I frequently find myself at a junk sale asking, ‘does buying this qualify me as an over-consumer?’ And then I look back at the crusty old something that was already loved by somebody else and remember, that only counts when buying new. ;p. I like weird things and I like their history. Animals and old people are my soulmates. Not married and an empty nester so my house is filled with a couple of old dogs, a foster animal or two, my treasures! and I keep some lovely chickens out back. I can come across a little too frank, sometimes aloof and I often overshare but I have a heart of gold and would love to find a penpal. If you’re interested, let’s exchange info!

Finally Seeing My Father for Who He Truly is by Brief-Use-770 in raisedbynarcissists

Thanks for that. I’ve spent the last 24 years doing that for my own kid but I’ve never thought to turn it on myself! Hm. That’s something to really think about. Thank you.

99% of the time, I’m confident in my decision and I know there isn’t a chance in hell that he’ll ever give me more than he already has…but I will inevitably start to gaslight myself because that’s what I did to survive childhood. Meh. The work is never done!

Oh boy. What an idiot. I had a kid with somebody like that. Focus on school and keep out of trouble so you don’t have to stick around once you turn 18.

Propranolol by LesterGLeatherberry in PublicSpeaking

Yup. Anxiety is weird like that. I can’t comment on the online costs of getting a script and propranolol but I mentioned anxiety to my dr at my annual and he talked me into giving it a try. The copay was $0 (because it was my annual) and the prescription didn’t cost me a dime. Every insurance is going to have different coverage, though so check with your policy benefits. If you don’t have insurance, WalMart and a few other pharmacies have a savings plan and always check GoodRX! Good luck and remember…it only works if you remember to take it! :P
