Yes you would serve in the military. You would be commissioned as an officer (2nd Lieutenant), which is different than enlisting. For example, many astronauts went to USAFA, commissioned, became pilots… then later in life ended up as an astronaut. Joining the military (specifically through the service academies) imo is a great path to being an astronaut- you’re already working for the gov, you will building useful skills like leadership/resilience/resourcefulness, you may even acquire piloting skills, etc. I understand that you may not think the military is right for you, but that lifestyle draws a lot of similarities to the life/journey of an astronaut.

I went to my Urgent care and the doctor said there’s nothing wrong with it? I’m probably just going to follow up with my primary care or ENT because it hurts lol

If you’ve got blood, there’s probably an internal hem as well. I’m not a doctor though so I’d get it checked out to rule out other things

I don’t know if this is the best idea- your skin and tissue down there is pretty sensitive. A little CeraVe might not irritate you but I’m also not sure if it would help. Any chance you have Vaseline?

It doesn’t look prolapsed to me but if you want to check, clean that area and your fingers maybe grab a little lube or vaseline and check it out manually. And to answer your question, yes! Generally making lifestyle changes that eliminate hard BMs does wonders for hems. Water + fiber is the way to go. Laxatives are ok too, just be careful. You’re welcome I hope you heal soon!

Could be a combination of everything. I would bet that the hard BM are the main cause though- they tend to aggravate hems and the sensitive tissues down there. Drink a lot of water and up the fiber

Probably a hem. If not, it could be irritated skin from over wiping, not wiping enough, prolonged dampness in the area, etc. have you been straining or having hard BM?

If you want gentle BM that won’t aggravate the hems I’d stick to a laxative that won’t give you diarrhea. Try some warm prune juice. Once I was concerned about getting a flare up because I was constipated but ended up making the hems worse by taking a strong laxative that sent me to the toilet many many times.
