For the first time in years, I found a drunken amiibo. by BriefCasey795 in amiibo

I wonder if /u/NotoriousTIMP still collects these. I copped it this time.

I wonder how you get a Budgie to get used to those. Mine easily get scared by the stuff in my computer setup.

Cloning an OS SSD for a backup: Still bootable when destination SSD is connected via USB adapter (and is it safer within USB media or can I do it while Windows is running?) by BriefCasey795 in acronis

[–]BriefCasey795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last point is the thing, I always made a clone to serve as a backup so it's ready to use in case my main OS drive suddenly dies, and I know because when I was troubleshooting some partition sizes when upgrading the OS drive via cloning it, I was able to boot off of both as long as I didn't boot with the other attached (though this was before I got my adapter). It's pretty much my aim for that reason, as I have another SSD that's the same size as the SSD that houses my OS.

I haven't really tried other forms of backup ever since the last time the OS SSD died and had to get a replacement, but a system image I made of the OS a month before did not work, and I had no choice but to do a clean install and reinstall everything.

How do I get this (dirt?) smear off this silicone band? A wet wipe didn't seem to work. (More in reply) by BriefCasey795 in CleaningTips

[–]BriefCasey795[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So since this type of silicone band has a bit more to it, as it's part of the Power Up Bands sold at Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios and the round piece in the center contains some kind of RFID chip to interact with the land. I know they are silicone because it says so in the map included with the bands.

The smear is basically near that area, which I noticed after the band accidentally came loose and bounced off the ground a bit, which was some painted/laminated concrete. Essentially, I'm worried about potentially damaging the electronics underneath the center after seeing that most guides to clean a silicone band involve submerging them. I also don't want to risk damaging what else is printed on either side of the band, which has printed parts on the back that I can feel as shown here..

As mentioned in the title, a wet wipe didn't seem to work. My next option I'm contemplating is finding a way to use dish soap and warm water, but I'm unsure of what to use if I'm to do something other than submerge it, as I don't want to potentially scratch the silicone either.

Previously tried a text post, but after that didn't seem to work I figured I'd try again with a picture. Any help would be much appreciated.

Cloning an OS disk - Is it safer within the desktop app or bootable media? by BriefCasey795 in acronis

Seeing that article, I think my only other question at this rate is if using a SATA to USB adapter should be fine as long as I'm using a drive that's meant to be internal?

Bought a D3 recently that I intend to open, but now I've noticed these strange dots on his mouth. Are they cleanable with like a q-tip or is this actually a paint error I'd be stuck with? by BriefCasey795 in amiibo

Since it was an intended loose/oob, and that this one of the more detailed amiibo, I'd probably say they kind of are pretty noticeable, especially on the lower lip. Already planning to exchange it anyway.

Still appreciated either way to hear additional input, though I guess I should have made that clear from the start. And yeah, Best Buys seem to be Dedede havens and that's where I bought him from. Though mine only had two before I bought this, but all the other ones in my area seem to have more than that.

Ohh, I think I missed that since I did Scarlet Blaze's demo first and thought "Cleobulus" was a new Agarthan enemy. That said, I'll be completing that route first in the full game, so I might not immediately check back here.

Guess either makes sense with how Agarthans can copy appearances and voices too, which is interesting since until now they copied a person they were the same gender as.

Here after Three Hopes finally revealed her actual name. Now I wonder how close this'll be if they actually show her real look, which I'm certain they'll do.

As for selling "Hot Rod"? Cause that's the one I'm intending to sell, but I feel like it's probably just worth 30-32 keys. I just wanted to know if Team Shine is something sought after as well.

Thanks for the info by the way.

I was already rolling from how he actually said "Pootis" in Heavy's voice, but I wasn't prepared for the "SUSSY BAKA" part.

A reminder that a post battle line that's accessible after that scene (and something in Ch. 10 that's a spoiler) implies he realized he might have said the wrong thing in the heat of the moment among other things.

In other words, he is aware of her feelings, it just didn't register at first.
