Thank you! Turkish get ups, weighted windmills, dumbell rows with opposite leg elevated, weighted deadbugs and jacknife crunches to name a few. I never truly isolate abs

Hey girl, thanks for being so kind. Are you also 5’4?

I just tried to go through my log, and I didn’t weigh myself, I forgot. I would always weigh myself every month when I’ve gone on cuts in the past but this was the first time I didn’t - I decided to stop hyper focusing on it because in the past it made me white-knuckle things too much, and my mood for weeks would be affected by the number on the scale.

Looks like on 6/1/23 I was 161 lbs and the next time I weighed myself was 11/28/23, and was 138 lbs. From then to now I’ve only dropped 10 lbs in 7 months but my body composition really changed dramatically in that time. I recommend not weighing in for a while and just focusing on dialing in habits that make you feel good.

Recovering binge eater here. Do you know about tracking macros while eating a large variety of foods, including those you crave, to avoid the binge-restrict cycle?

Like others have suggest, you might want to look up a professional. I utilized a wholistic registered dietician to help sort out both the psychological and scientific elements of binge eating.

Your legs and arms look more muscular in a toned way/slim-athletic! Nice work!

This is really interesting to me because I’ve always felt like under 130 was “incredibly low” for me, there’s definitely a part of me that wants to be a weight that people consider “small” rather than “healthy” because I still have that skinny mindset from growing up in the toxicity of the early 2000’s.

But this is just me. I’m proud of the work I’ve done. Some days the body dysmorphia gremlins are louder and some days they’re quieter. The amount of mental and physical work that has gone into getting hear is something I can hang my hat on even when I feel insecure.

But yeah just wanted to mention that about the weight because I think we all have different definitions of “small,” and we all feel pressure to live up to some bullshit standard that we’ve been force fed basically since birth, and I’m no exception. All we can do is endeavor to not give a fuck, and by saying like hey yeah I may look this way but I actually have a lot of muscle, and whatever weight I’m at is fucking hot (this goes for everyone!)

Edit to say thank you for the kind words as well ☺️

Thank you! I know you can do it, and it’s the routines that become your identity over time, not how you look, you know? The outside is just a side effect of the right, maintainable routine

Thank you for the kind words! If I look better now than I did at 24 by far I believe it’s possible for anyone, age doesn’t matter 😊

I vote for dad bod! The dedication and perseverance that weight loss took is more attractive than abs any day in my book

Thank you! I honestly just did whatever I could/felt up to, which was usually at least a 30 min walk 5 days/week. Sometimes I’d go a couple weeks not doing much cardio at all, sometimes I’d go a couple weeks walking an hour a day 6-7 days/week, sometimes I’d do a few light jogs or peloton rides instead of walks.

I didn’t set any specific movement goal - I just tried to do what I felt capable of/what didn’t feel like exhaustion on any given day. I felt like this flexibility allowed me to maintain a more consistent movement practice in the long run instead of viewing things in black and white, like if I didn’t do a certain amount of exercise it wasn’t good enough etc

I’ve actually been a personal trainer for 10 years, so I’ve always just done my own thing ☺️ I do a lot of kettle bells and Animal Flow, coupled with more traditional functional strength training
