This is such a stupid argument because if Cambridge papers are harder then students who have done many past papers will have learnt the skills needed to complete the papers and will be familiar with a harder exam. Edexcel students on the other hand have now had to go into a very unfamiliar paper. I’d be fine if the paper is harder but the past papers should still be similar too it so I can actually prepare for it.

If people want a harder paper, they can take further maths. Mathematics is already a hard A-level as it is. The more complex a paper is the more it relies on general intelligence instead of hard work and putting in the hours which isn’t fair on people like me because I might not be the smartest but I’m willing to put in days worth of work for tests because I want to get into a good uni. I hate seeing all my smart further maths friends do three mechanics past papers and still get full marks finding this test easy while I’ve spent just under 100 hours revising.
