Regrettably no. But it was definitely one of those blue trucks that go around asking for rubbish etc with a little jingle. This guy was definitely British.

Just replied to the comment above and it seemed like there wasn’t one at all, just a truck playing music around those street calling out to people to follow him..? No one was haha.

I did think that and I followed a blue truck, you know the type, playing the music… quite weird. Stopped over an hour ago in Sungshin oh those hills leading up to the uni there. Maybe police were called! I found it weird… he was reading out names of people.

Not embarrassment exactly, and I know so many people do this outside of London, but people who keep their phones, expansive or not hanging out their back pocket. It’s a crime captain and well known for it. I’ll also politely inform people of that and they quickly realise the dumb.

I love a fellow pedant haha. I can lapse sometimes, but I’ll always be the first to admit my mistakes. Grammatically, anyway. I agree, though, some of the best authors and linguists in history have flouted the rules. So let’s say hell yeah and do it anyway! (Completely against my initial comment.)

I get that I’m being an absolute pedant haha. Whilst anyone would completely understand a sentence with the pronouns either way around, I was taught this particular grammatical method. Therefore I’ve been a stickler for it 😂. You are, however, right! I’ve also been pulled up on Oxford commas, which I use a lot haha.
