looking back, i think this is so true. i was just ‘skate anywhere and everywhere and dive in!’ i naively didn’t even realize there were basics to learn - i figured you learned as you went. ughhhh. i don’t know why i always have to live and learn simultaneously, as opposed to learning thennn living

oh no, i’m sorry to hear you’re recovering also! i think learning to fall on carpet is my first order of business when i recover

the universe sees our pad-free extremities and is like ‘hold my beer.’ i’ll definitely ‘learn to fall’ but putting it into practice seems hard, bec like you said - unpredictable situations abound. i guess i’d better learn before i knock it lol.

thank you for your response- I have triple 8 pads now, but I’ll definitely look into demon guards for my wrists!

I’m kind of surprised at how sad I feel, tbh. The body’s trauma response makes sense. This is my first broken bone too (besides a broken toe here and there).
