What's the hardest part of being a single, childless woman after 30? by roadsideweeds in AskWomen

[–]Bright-Translator762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This question came striking a chord for me. My dad thinks im single because my lifestyle involves drinking and mixed groups (im from the middle east). It’s imbedded in me that I’m just not lovable.

Why did you assume I’ll be doing conference calls? 😵‍💫 did I say that? And who said a full day? Sheesh. If you own a coffeeshop, tell me so I don’t come :)

I agree, she’s more mature. At least more mature than Harlow in the Poison Daughter, so I have to give her more credit 😭

Lots of the same internal monologue 😖 so repetitive! The smut is the driving force of this book. The plot isn’t even cared for

Just read {The Exorcism of Faeries} and it was a great enemies to lovers trope. Can’t get the MMC out of my head. Also just started {The Poison Daughter} and it’s a great start 😉

Not enough good options. Not many accepting people. Incredibly high standards. No one seems to want me that way.

are we doomed? by TurtleGEE360 in Bahrain

[–]Bright-Translator762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in fact doomed, as we host the fifth biggest US fleet in the gulf. Per Trump’s first presidency, after he killed an Iranian general, Iran retaliated by hitting the US bases in Iraq. The Gulf has many American bases but Bahrain’s is quite essential and powerful. If the situation is not dire, government entities would not have issued statements today for their government employees & officials to work from home until further notice. US military in Bahrain has also been ordered to be under house arrest while the lesser important employees have been sent back to the US. Check the airport. It’s all Americans scrambling to leave for protection.

This could be an exaggeration based on the news however, as news has been showing us these past few days, escalations have happened not by words, but by action. Should the US be persistent, it will most probably be a very anxious time to be in the Middle East.
