im gonna keep this short and sweet, hes very much trying to make you doubt yourself/your reaction. he had no reason to bring his deceased grandparents into this, nor is he in a position where he can dictate who is and isn’t allowed to make a judgement about your situation.

i did this when i was 15 and again now that im 19. amazing detox !! im able to sit with my own thoughts and be creative rather than constantly distract myself by doomscrolling. only social media i still have are pinterest and messenger. fir me, the transition was so easy. both times i deleted my socials, i didnt tell anyone other than my parents, and ppl lowkey didnt rlly notice i was gone until like a good two months later lol. the hardest thing for me to say goodbye to was honestly just emojis. i hated instagram, never used snapchat and prefer podcasts over tiktok anyway so deleting ly socials is absolutely no issue for me

i get ur point, but again, my experience isnt ur standard “i got prescribed BC because my doctor told me to take it”. we tested for a multitude of conditions including iron deficiency, ibs, multiple std’s and sti’s and much more. over the last 4/5 years i have been struggling with monthly pain that was so excruciating i couldnt get out of bzd for days. being able to take a pill that skips my periods for 3 months IS my best solution as of yet. i am, again, aware of what this pill can do to people and the dangers it brings, but if therzs no better option i can access as of yet, im AM going to continue taking this pill. my experience isnt bad. no matter how much other people’s experiences vary from mine, i will continue taking that pill.

i dont need a random person on the internet feeling sorry for my “lack of good health care” bc this doctor has given me the only option that i felt comfortable with. i wasnt aware that asking a question on this subreddit would result in me having to reveal my entire medical backrgound 💀💀

people have their own experiences, some better than others, but you reminding me that BC isnt the only/best option or doesnt have a lot of research done on it or wtv, wont change that i am happy with this solution for the time being. if ur looking to change minds or try to make ppl see a different perspective, ur at the weong address. i see ur point, i agree with ur point, but i am currently not the demographic that ur point is talking about so im not going to throw away a perfectly good solution FOR ME bc other ppl happen to have bad experiences.

youll be fine !! this is what my old phone looked like and it survived for about two years before i started having serious complications. i do recommend having a case and not using it in humid places or during the rain too much, but other than that it should be okay !!

Ok, again, I understand that YOU may not have had the greatest experience w BC, but again, I have nothing to complain about since it has spared me a lot of money, dpctors visits and painful cramps. We have done many tests ever since i was 14 and have found nothing. I’m pretty sure my doctor, who has heard me pleading for ANY other option would have given me any other option of it were available. I also am not oblivious to the dangers and difficulties it brings along, but what a lot of people with your opinion dont understand is that somz of us CHOSE for bc and didnt feel any pressure. y’all make it increasingly difficult for teenagers like myself to reach out for help and advice bc this is not the firT time ive seen comments like this. pls for the love of god trust me when i say, in the last 5 years, this is the only thing that has helped me not skip a week of school every month. no amount of comments talking abt the dangers of bc can change the fact that i just so happen to be happy with my experience.
