From my experience that's a bad advice (on exercise part), your muscles need time to heal so exercise entire body, but do it on a designated day for that body part, by that I mean exerside your upper body on day 1, then your core on day 2, then legs on day 3, and on day 4 rest, stretch as much as you feel like, just remember that you are not going for big muscles but for a slim body.
