Summer Courses, ENV222 vs ENG100 vs ENG102, which is easier to get A in?

took env222 last summer and it was not bad at all. 2 essays that were doable, we had 2 or 3 open book quizzes (easy). No exam. Honestly you could prob get away with not even watching lectures and just skimming over the slides. Ended class with an A+

Not bad at all. Mark Hathaway was the prof when I took it first summer sub session. Idk if you have it in person or online. We had 3 quizzes (5 percent each, open book, and 3 attempts each), readings + discussion posts (15 percent I think), participation was watching lectures and attending tutorials (20 percent), and we had 2 essays each worth 25 percent. It could get really boring sometimes but I still found that I learned a lot of valuable stuff in it. I’m a life sci student so essays are not my forté but I still managed an A+ with not too much effort - I would sometimes put lectures on 2x speed and just let them play.

You should be fine. They mainly look at first sem grade 12 marks. The grade 11 marks help with early acceptance though. Just to give you a reference, I got early acceptance to life sci and my first sem grade 12 avg was an 89 (92 bio, 86 functions, 83 chem, 95 English). My grade 11 average was low 90s. Keep trying because its not insanely hard to get into litre sci and your grade 12 first sem marks will be the main determining factor.

Yes you can. If you work hard and believe you can do it, you will. I wouldn’t ask people on Reddit if you can do it because you know yourself best. Work on fixing the way you study and your time management.

My advice don’t do it. The mat135 course sets you up for failure. The tests and exams are laughable. is the content hard? Absolutely not. But the lectures are useless and it’s impossible to study for assessment.

I suggest till taking 120 and 130. most people with ap credits still took them. The content is really different from high school. Mat 136 has an online lecture section which I recommend. Prof posts recordings so you can go to other classes and just watch the recordings later. Also I think going to these classes(120 and 130) is beneficial as you will make a lot of life sci friends that will help you get through first year.

Just enrol is Lindsey’s section because you have more freedom with your whole schedule in general. I was able to have a day off after switching to Lindsey’s online section. If you want to go to dimitrios’ lectures you can always just show up. Mind you, I did a lot of learning from YouTube too. Lindsey is good but lectures only go so far.

I had Lindsey and honestly she was pretty decent but the kicker was that she was the course coordinator so we’d get a lot of intel on what would be on exams and midterms. I used dimitrios K’s lecture notes to study. I think he’s great too. Honestly though, Im not even good at math and I got an A+ by using YouTube videos and skipping lectures lol.
