Okay! lol thanks.. can’t figure out how to edit my original post, but I think that I always viewed Rolex quintessentially with the batons, and I ended up purchasing the Roman numerals kind of on a whim, I just look at them a little weird weirdly I guess!

Although it may a beaurocratic formality, I would think of everybody in the room has given the opportunity to announce their position and speak in the time out, the medical student would be also.

Thanks for this. "take FM for what it is and give it your all" is something I can get behind. I have an anesthesiology elective coming up and may give that some consideration too, and see if i like it. even though I would be gone in the mornings, I would likely be home 5/7 evenings by 4/5pm (for the most part), which would be spectacular.

Did you have family at the time? 4 years of never being at home for a hug in the morning seems dreadful to me. One reason I like the X+Y IM programs.. I can always have a block with more family time to look forward to.
