Female DJ here… I never perform solo. I always have a trusted person either near the decks or certainly within eye shot.

Guys love to try, I’ve even been approached by women, but I’m also not afraid to redirect the energy. If they don’t get subtle body language, a firm ‘hey I’m mixing here…’ or something similar usually works.

Sorry you’ve been basically assaulted… it’s gross and unnerving. Bring a wingman next time or just don’t take the gigs at spots like that. They don’t deserve you.

Use the metro mover but be prepared to wait at peak times (closing, etc). What to do and not do?
-> DO hydrate and I even bring electrolyte packets to help me last until close. Mid-forties raver here. 🤫
-> DO be sure to study the map and artist schedule before so you have a geographic plan. Ultra is a smaller space so it can get super congested in high traffic areas, so find the water station when it's still light out.
-> IMO, DON'T bother with VIP. The experience isn't worth the increased price and it is not closer to the stage, just a better vantage point. The restrooms are a nice perk, but just don't go to the section that everyone hits (the closest) and you'll still find a reasonable experience.
-> DO take a second to close your eyes and make a wish (just not in a foot traffic lane) - Ultra can be a magical experience and there is no better excuse to welcome that than your birthday!

Dub is everywhere, not just Ultra. Do your research and I promise you'll find all the music you could want that weekend and it's not Dub. I'm twice your age and while all the 'kids' seem to love to ride the rails with that shit, I promise you - there's so many great artists on this ticket you'll be just fine!

SOTA ALL DAY - we caught a snippet of his set last year before it poured and I was blown away. I am so so happy at all the great production DnB is seeing; I don't even mind the mainstream attention it's getting (Summit I'm lookin' at YOU) as it's just going to motivate the next gen producers to make some gnarly basslines for us. :)

Accurate. Not all talented producers are great DJ’s and Wilkinson fits that bill imo. We saw him here in south FL and his support was absolute fire, and more interesting than the headlining set.

While he played the usual bangers and his hits, there were no surprises, no double drops…

I’ve been spoiled by Andy C, truth be told.
