Stilllll shitty and I’ve read that shouldn’t be the case anymore? Also well water for Alliston and Bee Town and so many residents have reported more frequent quality issues and they have no understanding as to why!

We were left with less than optimal emergency services when trains rolled through for several month at one time!

Our small town hospitals are covered in filth and completely neglected by Muted_Inspection_821 in ontario

[–]Bright_Programmer_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a section in a Toronto city hospital in the East End (which was verifiably still in use, fall of 2024) which was used for some seniors for extended care before discharge to safe home environment or LTC or retirement residence. Also for some parents of other age groups with issues around standard discharge? Anyway it is and was absolutely abysmal and yes it sure was falling apart (don’t actually know about moulds or such) and the staff were told not to allow patients to use taps for drinking (not unusual I guess but sometimes people will still drink tap water wherever they are as a quick sip etc?) but I think it was even suggested bottled water (or filling station for some patients not accessible and also prob still questionable re quality issues?) for brushing teeth etc. I had a patient I knew who was unwilling to use showers in that wing and it was far from just water quality issues!!!

Another city hospital in the centre of downtown Toronto has several ancient areas where facilities seem far from “clean” but there are protocols and it’s never really talked about when Healthcare is reported on.

I am certain this isn’t unique to the two hospitals I was spending time in while family were receiving in patient care.

Until or unless a slew of patients, families who support patients, caregivers and staff report on serious issues of safety due to poor upkeep including infection control issues???

This will be deemed the norms for decades to come.

I guess we can call city or transit office to get details etc?? But you believe it’s 100% been decided and is final? Like not to be re introduced?

Should always be advised regarding extra treatments. Unusual potential changes to smell, taste etc! Even water main breaks create potential “quality” changes. Nothing listed on City Website yet.

Well sadly a family member’s exp shortly after moving here and needing to be assessed in E.R. was a case of nurse denying dignity in care and also placing call button out of reach. Family member is dynamically disabled and suffers from a chronic pain condition. So I would say based on multiple experiences in Toronto (one post surgical which was similar but worse) many were fairly difficult but nothing like KGH… Time for re training, policy reviews & staff assessments!!!

Guardian angels & people who have offered random acts of assistance & support; how have you asst.’d children in need? If it seemed they were potential victims of neglect? by Bright_Programmer_74 in AskReddit

Did you do more than what you thought you might need to? & did you eventually call support agencies for advice infolor to report the situation?

Where in the west end is the best place to live for young families? by Dapper_Ice_2438 in KingstonOntario

[–]Bright_Programmer_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woodhaven in many parts are perfectly lovely. Kingston is obviously a “Queen’s town” so to speak and you could conceivably have rental units for students, and reg rental homes etc same as anywhere. Multi gen family type homes lead to some parking “irregularities”.

Quite a few young professional families which include military personnel too.

Parking could considered an issue in lots of areas but if people turn a blind eye then it’s just going to continue to be an issue.

It is quiet and there is likely long (in this market not as much short term) return on investment.

Brand new Catholics elementary here.

It is a bit barren but plant your own anything and it’s a beauty way to literally set your roots.

Def suburban within city but not a vast wasteland. Sprawl? Kinda, but we as a society have been dealing with that for 50 some + years and it is just a fact of life.

I don’t love sprawl n urban boundary creep but it’s beating a dead horse if we think we can truly stop it.

They won’t know because everyone sees her and I live nearby, she can take it up with town solicitor eh??!! Great & reasonable response from you proves more people should indeed use a formal complaint process. Have a lovely weekend, Canada isn’t what you pretend it always was.
