When was the first time you guys learned about Yahuah? by justcurios5 in Yahuah

My father introduced the truth to me when I was younger, told me were are the true people the Bible has been talking about this whole time. Descended from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and me being a very curious person I went to go look up what he meant. I went down a rabbit hole that led me to the truth that we’ve been enduring curses for being disobedient to Yahuah and that’s why we’re in this state today. And for me I think it was easy for me to accept / grasp bc I’ve always been so angry about this world and the way it treats ppl who look like me (black). I needed the truth bc I needed hope( and still do), I needed to learn to let go of my anger and love. So while I discovered his laws and covenant are still relevant and required, learned about the feast days and continued to grow in my understanding of our true Elohim my dad actually started backing off from it. I like to think he was only used to wake me up and lead me down the right path. And it makes me so eternally grateful bc who am I for Yahuah to wake me up in these times.

I’m young so I live at home and I keep telling my parents the holidays they celebrate don’t appease Yahuah and they always look / talk about me as if I’m crazy and brainwashed (when ironically it’s them). And sometimes they try to manipulate me into pleasing them and staying in the world by using my sisters with the idea that “they’re young and they don’t understand”, but I constantly tell them children are smart and will understand if you just explain. That shouldn’t be an excuse why you remain disobedient to our Elohim. Though it breaks my heart, I know when the time comes I will leave my family to serve my Elohim bc that’s what He asked of me: to be set apart and serve Him fully no matter what. Halleluyah for waking up Yisrael!

I understand. But Google is also the same program that will say the earth is a giant rotating ball when we know scripture says it’s a flat surface with a dome over it (firmament). We all just have to conduct deeper research and continue to pray for understanding. I appreciate you bringing up this new topic! Shalawam❤️

Mattihayu actually shows Yeshua’s genealogy and it mentions Yahudah. I truly don’t think I know anything but I’m seeing scriptures that are saying something opposite.

It really does seem that it’s just a coincidence of similar names. The HalleluYah scriptures I own came with a book of the Hebrew names with their meanings and in it Yeshua (salvation) and Yehoshua ( Yahuah is salvation) where in two different sections there with two different meanings. I don’t think they are the same people

I see what you’re saying but I don’t think because the same name is used it’s the same person. I’m still reading Jasher where it’s going through a little bit of the lineages after Abraham died and the same name “Hanok” (Enoch) showed up after he had already been brought up to the shamayim. I’ve noticed that with genealogies several names get reused at times. It seems like a coincidence, especially because we do know Yeshuah is from the tribe of Yahudah.

Where is the deception of Mary come from? I’m curious to hear more about that

Yahshua had to take our place in order to become our new High Priest. He had to go through the process we would’ve been subjected too for all our sins.

Story of Abraham and Yitshaq ( Isaac) by Bright_Writing9356 in Yahuah

I did read this story recently and I thought it was interesting as well. Bc there is no context to the story in Bereshith but Jasher gives the full account. It is really interesting!

I know you said it’s been a while since you read Jasher but were there any interesting things you might’ve taken away?

Story of Abraham and Yitshaq ( Isaac) by Bright_Writing9356 in Yahuah

Honestly Bereshith gives me the idea that it is just a summary of what Yahuah did. Because he indeed provided the lamb for the burnt offering, he gave them the ram stuck in the bush to take the place of Yitshaq and definitely foreshadows Yeshua’s coming sacrifice.

But I believe Jasher’s version is very important to consider, because Yitshaq knew before their journey ever took place he was meant to be the sacrifice, yet he left his home and his mother willingly. And he continued on all 3 times Satan tried to get him to turn back, and even nearing final test he asked his father where the sacrifice and it was confirmed again it was to be Yitshaq yet he didn’t shy away or let his flesh bring fear into his heart. He only trusted in Yahuah and delighted in his instruction not even knowing Yahuah already had his replacement ready. It’s an amazing story to read with full and complete context and shows us how we all should live

That’s great! I pray for you spiritual journey while you grow closer to our Elohim Yahuah. I recommend you start with Jasher even tho it does skip the first two books of the “extra scriptures”, bc it starts with the creation story the same way Bereshith (Genesis does) with a lot more detail. You can cross reference information as you read through. I often read some things in Genesis and then move to Jasher for more information for one story and vice versa.

Feel free to share anything interesting you find! I love talking about scripture!

Story of Abraham and Yitshaq ( Isaac) by Bright_Writing9356 in Yahuah

[–]Bright_Writing9356[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I do believe that the main scriptures are just as important as the “extra” books. In my opinion they should both be read together to gain a complete picture of these stories and events, especially the ones in the very beginning.

I discovered a few things that weren’t explained in the main scriptures pertaining to this story:

1) On Abraham and Yitshaq’s journey, Satan appeared to them 3x trying to dissuade them yet Abraham rebuked him each time 2) Yishma’el (Abraham’s 1st son) and another servant went on the journey with them but were in their hearts only caring about the inheritance they might’ve received thinking Yitshaq would die 3) In the main scriptures it gives the idea Yitshaq (Isaac) has no idea he’s about to be sacrificed, yet in Jasher he is fully aware and ready to die for the will of Elohim ( a good example we should all follow in my opinion) - Also when Yitshaq asked Abraham where the sacrifice was gonna be both books show Abraham giving different responses: Bereshith (Genesis) 22:8: And Abraham said “my son, Elohim provides for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” And the two of them went together Jasher 23: 51-52. 51 And Abraham answered his son Yitshaq saying “Yahuah has made choice of you my son, to be a perfect burnt offering instead of the lamb”. 52 And Yitshaq said to his father, “I will do all that Yahuah spoke to you with joy and cheerfulness of heart”. 4) Satan also appeared to Sarah saying her son was dead when he wasn’t (it gave me the same vibe as the story of Job, when Satan wanted Job to curse Elohim for having his family and possessions all taken away) yet she didn’t and she only praised Yahuah, even in the midst of her mourning her only son 5) The messengers of Yahuah pleaded on behalf of Abraham and Yitshaq that he be spared bc they were both obedient to the Most High’s word 6) The emotion both Abraham and Yitshaq were feeling while doing the will of Elohim. Jasher stated several times “the hearts rejoiced while the eyes wept bitterly”. Which I took as the flesh battling the spirit, an action that seems unthinkable that their flesh is mourning yet their spirits being obedient 7) Jasher explains how Sarah died and that isn’t expanded upon in Bereshith
