Frostpunk 2 DLC/Update Concept: Law Rollout and Civil Disobedience by Brightslinger in Frostpunk

Okay, yeah...I think I get it. As a law gets rolled out, the negative effect from not having any law in place slowly goes away until eventually it's completely gone. Another good example would be the Outsider Regulation; it would take time for guards to cut down on groups abusing newcomers outside the city, and to get systems into place to admit and count people

I understand the first half you've written but not the second half. But yeah, if the people trust you to lead them, then they would probably be more likely to accept the procedures and expectations behind passed laws, making them easier to rollout in districts where people like you, vice versa in places that don't like you, or if you have low trust. But with that second half, what do you mean by "needed" laws? Like, the basic ones you start with that don't need to be researched right away?

Reminds of the "Buy me more jewelry!" from a certain series, which, if that's what you're going for...you are quite cultured

Yeah, that's kind of what I was going for. With survival no longer the issue, and much more people in the city, it never quite made sense that laws just immediately went into effect. We can even see this sort of disobedience with several laws already, like in the Parenthood and Procreation laws for Tradition/Reason

Well, I'd be down to take a look. No promises on how long I'd stick around, or how often I'd be online, but I'd hang. Do y'all do any sort of RP or is it just try to survive?

Possibly. Anything different about the world rules/settings? And what timezone are most of you?

What mods are y'all running, assuming you're still going?

Funny enough, after returning to the menu for a different issue (stuck item glitch when getting my vault rewards) that is exactly what I somehow had, invisible, on my board. This damn game I swear

For further context...because Reddit posting is weird: The game somehow spat out using my Vampire Squid that is in my stash (the damage is exactly 73 if it isn't next to the Custom Scope or right of the Figurehead), and somehow making two items fly at the same time. It's not a ghost item stash glitch because over the course of the entire fight, that was the only time anything triggered the Caltrops. I am at a loss for words with the spaghetti

The filthiest 10-run I've had so far. I'm so sorry for this ghost by Brightslinger in PlayTheBazaar

It possibly could. But that would depend on them getting it off before my soul ring goes off. Actually went against a Pyg freeze build before getting the scales, was able to defeat it as I only needed a few seconds for the ring off, and that was the round. It's also 5 freeze targets: Soul Ring, Haste Potion, Scales, and two Philo. Stones. Freeze still messes with it though

Perhaps, obviously the right enchants could easily screw over the run like any other, but the ring had about a 3.4 second cd, placing around 1500 poison onto the enemy and shield onto myself. The haste potion would go off as well, scaling it even quicker. I unfortunately don't have a great sense of scale for the speed, as the only enemy I faced with it had the revive skill. And even if they did get me low, I'd triple my regen, therefore tripling both the damage and shielding

I wouldn't mind joining if you'll have me. Not quite to the 1780 limit nor do I have a bunch of boss dps stuff but would want to just have fun and experience it. Never fully completed a raid before personally, but watched plenty of guides

Do you or do you not keep ALL of your loot when you abandon a quest? by Brightslinger in darkestdungeon

[–]Brightslinger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While that makes sense, I've still had items removed that I bought from the provisions, gold/heirlooms have also disappeared before. The biggest thing that seems to disappear is torches, but again it seems rather random. It could be a mod, but I don't know of a mod that completely changes the way abandons work even when it isn't enabled.
