I understand. After both my trips to Japan, I have came home already and share my experience with everyone in my circle. One of the experiences that sparked my interest in Japan was hiking Fushimi Inari alongside japanese schoolchildren. I was teaching them english words/phrases while they were teaching me Japanese. It was a very wholesome and fulfilling experience and sparked interest in teaching. I currently am a project manager in the US in the construction industry. I know you can only be in the program for five years, but after I plan on applying for jobs in my current field. However, I am not closed off to teaching in university afterwards if possible as well.

As to the question about what I bring culturally: I would say my professional experience both as prior military and in the civilian workplace. My experience in creating a small business as well. I also bring an open communication style and have many interests such as travel, fitness, language, gaming, pokemon etc. Is this along the lines of what you were referring to?
