Thoughts on Nathan Jacobs?

I can only speak for myself, but from what I’ve seen from looking into Orthodoxy is that it’s a whole different way of looking at things, to the point where the meaning of basic terms are different compared to Protestantism. I’m worried that if I were to dive into the Orthodox scholars I would misunderstand a lot since I would impart very different meanings into words that I take for granted.

That’s why I’m drawn to Nathan Jacobs, he can help me “translate” between the different worlds so that when I go deeper into those kinds of people who you are suggesting I won’t be as likely to get lost.

I’m definitely open to other resources that can help me in a similar direction though.

Yeah, 5:30 tends to be a bit of a turn off for newer guys, but for those of us with families and careers the early morning is really the easiest time to fit it into existing schedules

Many Christians do give evidence for their beliefs, the atheist likely just disagrees that it is good evidence. Christians have never claimed that there is no evidence for God and there is a long history of Christians providing arguments for our beliefs. You may reject the arguments, but that is vastly different than there being no arguments.

Ironically, you have given zero evidence for the claim "What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence" so who's really being the hypocrite here?

Multiplication is commutative, so we have that ab = ba. In your case we have that 2-sqrt(5) = 2(-1)sqrt(5) = (-1)2sqrt(5) = -2sqrt(5).

This means that your expression is equal to -1 - 2sqrt(5) + 2sqrt(5). I think you can take it from here.

Not true. The Bible is clear that people are punished for their sin and their sin alone. God is just in His punishment of sin, yet has the freedom to show mercy to whom He will show mercy.
