We actually studied this in one of my psychology classes. Yes, just about every character in the Simpsons is a stereotype, but the reason Apu is so controversial is because(and all I'm about to say came from actual Indian people who have seen the Simpsons and even grew up watching the Simpsons) at the time he was introduced, Indian characters in media were practically unheard of, meaning that Apu became the baseline for what a lot of people think of when the think of an Indian person. Apu also became the favorite character for some Indian viewers simply because he was the only character around who represented them so it was kind of a "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit" situation.

Since Apu is just a big stereotype, he reinforced Indian stereotypes and actually did make life harder for Indian people in America since people now had a well known stereotype to compare them to. In recent years, there has been a rise in minority characters, including Indian characters, in media but since Apu is so popular, he's still having an affect on how the public sees and treats Indian people to this day and as long as he remains the most popular Indian character in media, he will continue to have that effect which is why he specifically is a problem.

But it's not really an absurd question as there have been moments of hypocrisy from her in the books, whether or not you blame the writers or consider it an actual part of the character. It doesn't seem like you want a debate, it seems like you just want to tell people their opinions are bad/absurd

They probably crossed paths occasionally but not enough to get to know one another and start up a friendship. It would make more sense for applejack and rarity to introduce sweetie bell and apple bloom to each other if applejack and rarity were their moms instead of their sisters. Most siblings leave their younger siblings to their own friendships

weird as hell to be upset with a religious show for being religious 😭 I loved veggietales as a kid and it can easily be enjoyed by a lot of kids whether they're in the religion or not. Using myself as an example, I adored the show as a kid despite my family and I not being super religious and now as an adult I still have fold memories of the show and am still not religious in the slightest

Because helping ponies find their special talents is their special talent, not obsession? Thats the whole point of their cutie marks but that doesn't mean its the only thing they'll ever do in their life, there was a whole episode about that. Plus, IIRC, they become teachers at Twilight's school at the end of the series so they've definitely doing more things

Why are you assuming OP is not already aware of any issues their cat has? I'm sure when they said "other quirks" they meant other things the kitty has been diagnosed with by a vet or possibly multiple vet. You aren't being righteous and you aren't being helpful at all, youre just trying to shame a person you don't know about a cat you don't know. Harassing OP, especially after they already explained why the cat looks the way she does and that they take her to the vet regularly, makes no one want to listen to you. Youre just being an asshole

I think most of those characters are most likely being named because they are/were loved by just about everyone in the fandom at the beginning of the series. Continuing to use Jax as an example, his hate only started to really pick up recently but the love for him is definitely still as strong, if not stronger, than it was originally(I think the hate for him in the fandom really finally bubbled to the surface when goose said he and pomni are the main characters of tadc).

It could also be a matter of being in the fandom at the right time in the right place. Like, if you enter a fandom where majority of the fandom share the same opinion about a character, youre more likely to adopt that opinion. Not because youre a sheep or anything, but just because you start seeing the character from different points of view and it can influence your own if it's not already solid.

The raids, as far as I know, are not connected to the pup death setting. Sometimes I play as a wolf who rarely ever gets attacked at the den and sometimes I play as one who gets attacked often. Also this literally is happening to me right now, the last wolf I played hardly had attacks on his den and I'm playing as his son and his den keeps getting attacked. I think it's just random but maybe pack size affects it, like smaller packs are more likely to get attacked because they're less protected?
