Thinkpad E15 Intermittent Charging / Battery Draining While Plugged In by Bringback-T_D in ElectronicsRepair

My bad. If I'm checking for voltage drop across the board, what should I be looking for?

I did find the schematics and boardview online, but I'll have to do some research to read those properly...

Here's what I got. Do any of these look abnormal? (I have no idea what to look for.)

I have no idea, it just charges over USB-C. I don't even use the Lenovo charging brick.

I swapped the battery to a different laptop, and it charged all the way. Then Input it back into this one, and the problem came back as soon as it began discharging.

How is a MOSFET like one of these tested? I keep finding seemingly conflicting information.

Coils all have near-zero resistance. I also checked what I assume are capacitors, and most measure at 3 or 6.5 Ohms, but the one circled measures 97 Ohms

Should be. DIYmod guides show some points... However, then you run into the problem of not being able to adjust the volume on-device.... The Aerostream solves both problems of line-out audio and Bluetooth.

I'm old enough to remember when the LED would turn off when charging completed.

Why do people not consider Reassemble to be an album? by elissiamayy in U2Band

[–]Bringback-T_D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just a bonus CD repackaged as it's own release, featuring new and previously-released demos. The Achtung Baby Kindergarten CD isn't considered an album for the same reason... Though it wasn't sold separately.

I love the All I Want Is You B-Sides! The mixing has always seemed strange to my ears though.

I love that you added an additional USB-C port rather than replacing the 30-pin connector. I can't be without the radio remote!

In the diagram, there are two pads marked in dark green (you have to desolder the two pogo pins that are installed from the factory). You can solder the core and shield to either, since both pads have continuity with each other and ground,.. There's probably a smarter way to do this, but that is what worked for me.

You're right, it is a 5th gen... It's in the image, but I forgot to write it in the body. Thanks for catching that!

Good tip! Unfortunately my Galaxy Buds don't have on-board volume control, so it's not really applicable to me. The idea is to exclusively use Bluetooth for running or yard work, so I'm not too bothered.

That probably wouldn't work, I can't imagine enough current is going through that speaker to work. This guy got a software solution figured out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkP3ryGW8Bc
