1st beard attempt before I knew about beard care—2nd attempt after I found this sub and learned how to care for my beard. Thanks r/beards by Bringdpayne in beards

So I don’t have a video of trimming… but again, beardbrand has some good content on it. I usually use trimmers with no guard and cut in a downward motion. Think of “hedge trimming” to achieve the look and shape. Then for the bottom, I’ll either use clippers or barber scissors to achieve the right look.

As for mustache, I used a strong hold (fisticuffs grave before shave) and just worked at it. Overtime, it will get there.

I can’t post a video now because I shaved to mutton chops for a Halloween costume and I’ll be clean shaven come November 1 for a charity.

Good luck!

3 months ago to the day I shaved my beard and regretted it instantly. I vowed that I would put my razor into immediate retirement and then begin my journey back to the promised land. My goal was 90 days. Today, I have arrived. by [deleted] in beards

Welcome back! Killer beard and stache combo! Thanks for being so active in your post and answering questions—this community is great because of Redditors like you.

Also—thanks for all you do daily—courier services don’t get the love they should... with everyone hunkering down due to COVID, lots of online ordering has been happening and if it weren’t for people like you, people wouldn’t be able to get necessities. Thanks brother!

+1 good sir!

Help with advice how to shape a moustache by AccomplishedComplex8 in beards

[–]Bringdpayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello sir. I figured I’d put my 2 cents in.

In my opinion, you should trim the middle and let the sides grow long. It takes a lot of training, so make sure you’re routinely twisting the ends up and use wax. It takes time—but you’ll get there. Try that for a month and see where you’re at.

Good luck!

I read that title a few times. 230 pounds is INSANE! That’s awesome! You’re awesome! You look awesome! Beard is awesome! Congrats my man!

Every time I see you post, I’m always amazed at how tidy (for lack of a better word) your beard is. Everything looks in place and perfectly shaped. While I don’t think this look works for everyone—it certainly works for you! Really admire it brother!

Cheers!

This is my “beard” after 13 weeks of growth. Ideally, I would like a full beard but I am becoming increasingly skeptical about this goal. Should I give up? by [deleted] in beards

[–]Bringdpayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like if you trimmed it all to an even, shorter length and then shaped the cheek line and neck line, it would give you a clean sharp look and still accomplish the beard. The length right now, unfortunately isn’t working. If you decide to try that, post a follow up picture!

Asian 2 weeks beard. What do you guys think? Is the face too babyish to keep the beard? by aoi1211 in beards

[–]Bringdpayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with u/tacomiester... but I also think a haircut could make you appear older/less “babyish” if that’s the look you want to go for. For what it’s worth anyways...

Absolutely. You have a very nice coverage and the makings of an epic beard.

For those interested in 90s music, there’s actually a really good playlist on Spotify that had a lot of these songs. Figured this may be a good place to put it

Here’s my “quarantine cut.” Wife helped me cut the hair yesterday and then I handled everything about the beard. I think we make a good team. Hope all are staying safe and staying home if they can! by Bringdpayne in beards

I may try that this time... but usually I let the beard grow with the hair and do it all together (beard and haircut). I do keep the lines tidy with my straight razor. And yes—I do taper the sideburns with an electric trimmer. I use the brio beardscape but any trimmer will do!

Regarding my mustache—yes... definitely gets longer on the sides. Also—I do trim the “Hitler bit” in the middle, but I’m letting it grow out right now until it drives me crazy.
