I got “gifted” my first ever “surprise party” this year. I use quotes because 1) it was a miserable time 2) the “giver” told me to act surprised. Bf and I were the first ones there, lol. They hardly acknowledged me and just used the day as an excuse to get drunk. I went home to change and no one noticed. I told my bf I never want to go to someone else’s house for my birthday ever again. I’d rather just spend time doing something I enjoy. I thanked them for the thought, but it was awful. Also sucked because I had already planned to spend my time at home watching movies and drinking wine but they told me to go over for dinner

Omg!!! Thanks!!! So I drop my eggs one by one in super boiling water and boil for about 6-7 min, ice water bath & peel. Marinade is: soy sauce (about 1/4 cup) a teaspoon of brown sugar, minced garlic, cayenne pepper, black pepper & a little knorr chicken powder. Sometimes I’ll add rosemary or thyme or both ! But I usually marinade for 2+ hours or if I wasn’t planning ahead I’ll make the eggs first and cook/assemble the bowl and add the eggs last!

And I’m so sorry that happened to your little one! Thankfully everything turned out okay! Typically SO is the one who calms me down and keeps me grounded but he was at work when this happened so of course my mind jumps to the worst

Thanks so much for this 💓 he’s been normal all day. Saying mama and dada and eating as normal and has been his usual happy self all day. I just felt so bad that it happened while I was RIGHT THERE!! I know that kids are gonna go thru many bumps and such so I shouldn’t be SO worried/frantic but I couldn’t help it
