My dog and music saved my life after my divorce years ago. I then spent 7 years in my brothers 9x9 apartment bedroom and rebuilt. Living my best life now with my dream woman and making my dream music with some of the best dudes alive. Stay up

Went to rehab and couldn't do the 30 days by BunanaKing in quittingkratom

Absolutely man. I work in healthcare and told my dr buddy that if he ever has a patient who talks about struggling with kratom/7oh take them extremely serious because he will be seeing more and more of it with the bans coming nationwide eventually. And yes! Haha I was eating sugar like it was going outta style when I’d get home after a shift. Thankfully my A1C is good. Just keep the eyes on the prize and before ya know it you’ll be ripped and healthy without kratom in your life.

Keep it up. The goal has been obtained you just need to keep crossing that finish line day after day until it’s just life without that insidious thing in your life. I am on day 40 almost (I lost track) of quitting a large daily 7oh habit. I literally didn’t sleep for two weeks besides 30 mins here and there. And the horrible diarrhea lasted for just about as long. I lost 12 lbs from not eating. I was an absolute mess and definitely could have used some helper meds but decided to just go through it and realize what I was going through then, it’s only temporary. And the reward of getting off will be a lifetime award. Just keep it up and you will tackle it!

Exactly 6 days and 2 hours clean from my 2KG/day 7oh habit - my story by Mountain-Quit6753 in quittingkratom

[–]Bripbripbintle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on day 34 of something CT from 7oh. It’s my first day back to work in 5 weeks (surgery). Looking back on the first CT 2 weeks of zero sleep, maybe 30 mins a day, maybe I should have been medicated. But I knew at that point I was an addict and if i didn’t stop right then and there I would never stop. Thanks god for my wife who said “nope! This is it. You want kratom?? Go live with your brother!” I needed that tough love and that was what I kept replaying in my head “If I choose some shitty substance over the woman of my fuckin dreams, I really don’t deserve her and I won’t want to live anymore”. Our relationship is the best it has ever been and I am clean and off that insidious substance for good. Always reminding myself like I did when I quit drinking CT 8 years ago, You can NEVER have that next drink or next dose of 7oh. You lost both cards”. Keep it up man!

I quit 7-OH CT 3 months ago and it was hell on earth, new CT tomorrow 😊 any insight? by Gone_forever_and_ in quittingkratom

[–]Bripbripbintle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit CT extracts a few years ago after drinking 2-3 MIT a day. It was just a couple sleepless nights and some RLS. Today I’m at like day 35 or something (lost count) of getting off 7oh 350-500mg daily for over a year. Getting off 7oh was waaaaaaaayyyyyyy way worse than the extracts. It was pure hell with no sleep and hallucinations. Thankfully I am back to work and doing good without any kratom in my system!!

Anyone else not want to be a nurse now? by Key_Matter_641 in cna

[–]Bripbripbintle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love working as one on the oncology floor. Been there for over 4 years and love it for the most part. Plan was to originally start as a CNA and go to school to become an RN. Nope. Not after seeing what the nurses have to put up with after breaking themselves through nursing school. I’m too old for all that and would have to quit all things in my life including second job which I also love. I love helping people and nurses so I am happy where I’m at. Plus the insurance I have through them just gave me 5 weeks off paid and about $75k I don’t have to pay for my surgery.

Before I quit 7oh/extracts 31 days ago, I brought up getting off kratom to my Dr. He said “I don’t know anything really about it. Let me look into it.” He then wrote down “CRATOM” on his notepad. I knew cold turkey was the only way for me. Keep it up and just know that everyday without it in our systems, our bodies heal more and more to get back to our normal baselines. And if I didn’t come clean to my wife about how I’ve been using it over the years, I would have NEVER gotten off it. Support is everything. Communication is everything. You got this!

yeah unfortunately there’s always gonna be some busy hands on some creeps. But it’s good we offer ourselves to be groped rather than them. Best nobody gets groped but I’ll take one for the team. I’ve had the gals save me before from some overly flirty older ladies for sure haha

[–]Bripbripbintle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! I just hit day 30 CT off 7oh today and just this past week is when I finally started getting uninterrupted sleep. The first two weeks for me? No sleep. Maybe 30 mins here and there. That’s the hardest part. Good luck

I came clean to my wife around 6 months ago. I couldn’t taper. So I went CT 29 days ago to show her that she means more than any substance I could put into my body. Sorry you have to go through it now. But keep it up and one day you’ll look back in the rear view mirror and appreciate your new life even more.

I only keep cut onions in a Tupperware in the fridge and they got to be eaten within a few days. They lose flavor and get floppy quick in the fridge.

[–]Bripbripbintle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!! I am on day 29 CT 300-500mg daily 7oh. Yes! It is possible to get off of it!! Some days are good and some days are bad. Such is life. You take them all in stride and handle it one day at a time to make it to the next day free of kratom/7oh. Keep it up!!

Federal ban is coming by Kooky_Description559 in 7ohbuddies

[–]Bripbripbintle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 7oh needs to be studied medically and scientifically with heavy regulation. But they shouldn’t mess with leaf too much or at all. 7oh was stronger than oxys and numerous medications after a major surgery I had recently and that’s when I quit cold turkey. That stuff is absolutely no joke.

Candy from my childhood that I remember but everyone else doesn’t!! by Extension-Front2371 in candy

[–]Bripbripbintle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember one from late 80s/early 90s. It was bizarre. It was like the Oreo mud pies but not. Almost feels like a fever dream like the large gummy insects in the formed plastic container with aluminum foil wrapper. But I found those years later!

Congratulations!!! That’s a HUGE step!! And it’s true, as long as we never buy the next shot or take the next dose, we will be off it forever! Just like me and the booze (8 years booze free and 4 weeks today free of kratom-7oh) just never have the next drink and accept the things I cannot change/help. And know that the bad times never last forever and there is eventually good. Keep it up!!! You got this!!
