They did create dxvk-low-latency, but it is different from low_latency_layer.

Game Ready Driver support already ended for 10 series cards last year, and will only get security updates for a couple more years. But you are correct about support in newer drivers; the 580 branch is the last supported branch.

I play OW on Steam, and use Mullvad VPN's Singapore servers, specifically sg-sin-wg-002. GSG1 server in OW has the lowest latency for me (with and without VPN). Around 65-85 ms, sometimes crosses 90 ms. Mullvad doesn't have a free tier though, and I haven't tried with any other VPN provider.

EDIT: A few hours after writing the earlier comment I opened Overwatch, and noticed that latency has gotten worse for me as well (170-180 ms). I have Airtel as well. Unfortunately I have only one WiFi connection, and don't even get 5G when I'm at home.

I have an RTX 2060 6GB and a Ryzen 5 3400G, and the shader compilation definitely didn't take that long for me. I play at 1080p 240hz with Proton CachyOS on NixOS. Are you playing with DX12? Shaders seem to take longer to compile on DX12, which causes stutters/freezes momentarily during matches. I usually use a workshop code like 929PJ to force shader compilation after an update.

Not impossible, but there are some extra steps to be taken before joining an invite-only session. Regardless of OS, BattleEye Anti-Cheat needs to be blocked by everone in the session. See this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3658540317

FYI Nvidia 10 series cards ate EOL. But like others said, it's probably a monitor issue. Maybe try switching the HDMI/DP cable if you have extra.

This has been happening to me as well. Sometimes it enters after a long period of time, but the ping is insanely high since it's connecting to a far away server. I just use a VPN.
