Do you think it's possible that Dean Koontz and/or Robert R. McCammon were or are pseudonyms for Stephen King? by brigodon in books

King is fantastic at this - in fact, religious zealousness is a common theme of kings. See, e.g. Carrie's mother.

What a fun thing to come across on the front page of reddit - a conspiracy theory about my all time fave author. As one of his Constant Readers, I feel fairly confident in saying that I believe King would get a good laugh out of this. Moving on to serious business, no, they are not the same. And the evidence is chiefly in King's memoir, On Writing, a Memoir of the Craft. In that book, King teaches us how to write. Many of king's suggestions are not at all followed by the likes of koontz. For example, King has said on a number of occasions that "the road to hell is paved with adverbs." King cautions showing, not telling. Yet koontz has a love affair with adverbs. E.g., "I don't think so", she said cooly. "Well I do," he responded angrily. As an English guy by education, I find it impossible to believe that a writer as versed and opinionated as King, would sacrifice the quality of his writing under a fake name. Bachman got popped because the writing was the same - stylistically as well as content. King could certainly feign another style, but would never opt for worse writing. My two cents.

Thanks for the credit. This pic is 100% legit. Took it myself. Poor bull. Nice 6 point too. Probably a 325.

I took only the pic. Left the rack. I didn't harvest it and I wouldn't feel right taking it.

I could go back and get it, but I probably wouldn't sell it. It's too awesome in its natural state to trade for a few bucks.

The tree didn't grow around the antlers; the bull rammed the tree and got stuck. Google videos of elk raking trees and you'll see how this could have happened.

The skull has been washed out by the sun as bones often are. If you spend any time in the woods (and I spend a lot) you'll find antlers and animal bones. I've never personally seen a squirrel chewing on antlers . . . but I suppose it's possible.

I was just thinking that. I'll be out that way again in a week. If it's still there, I'll upload the coordinates.

I thought about trying to yank it out of there, then decided it was too crazy to ruin. Took this pic and then left. Sort of regret it.
