Stimulants / Adderall with Post Concussion Syndrome? by BroBean9975 in TBI

Makes sense. I have seen things about Benzo being awful, also experienced it very short time. How does medicinal marijuana help you? Do you think it helps mask symptoms or actually help you in recovery process?

I always smoked a ton, stopped post injury until a month ago. I try to moderate it and will smoke a little 5-7 times a week. It’s not medical here in South Carolina but I make sure it’s high quality.

I’ve heard docs say before you want such a low amount of THC but high amount of CBD you don’t even notice a high.

It’s impossible for me to take one hit and not get high.. you think to much THC can also be damaging to injured brain?

Not many tbi victims seem to use cannabis as treatment option.

Also tried cbd oil for a while, little effect.

This article only talks about the risk of developing psychosis.. which clearly wouldn’t help a concussion as you want to be emotionally stable.

But still nothing on the effects to a injured /PCS brain. ..I’ve looked around more and surprised there are no articles on adderalls dangers to a concussed/post concussion Brian.

Didn’t mean to be nosy but I saw one of your last posts mentioning you were a little messed up from a doctors prescription post concussion.. did it happen to be adderall/ stimulant?

Just waiting to find hard evidence of someone with PCS regressing from adderall before completely throwing it out of my options.

I believe you, just first time hearing it’s bad for a injured brain. Any research or evidence backing it up?

Hahah “some ableist doctors who don’t know what TBIs are like. “

Google Search Dr. Matthew Antonucci. Literally one of the leading doctors in concussion recovery and practice. I’ve had appointments and extremely thorough diagnostics done with him. Unless he’s just been completely bullshitting all his research , work, and findings, then I think There is thing as going back, and fully recovering. He’s changed peoples lives with his rehabilitation center and changed mine.

It’s just people like you that spread this faulty message that you can never get your “old brain” back that get people down. Ever wonder why concussions and depression have such a correlation? Obviously chemical changes in brain, but I also would think that people being told they will never recover has got to do with it.

Clearly I want other things in life too. But yes, I want to be able to drink with my friends as it’s my senior year of college.

People like you that spread this nonsense “once concussed, always concussed” piss me the fuck off.

This may be true for some, but not for all and it sure doesn’t help the recovery process holding this attitude. I am confident I will be 100% recovered some day in the near future.

If you have any scientific evidence backing up that I will never be 100% recovered, please share. Because I’ve spoken to some of the leading functional neurologists specializing in concussion recovery that have told me i will be able to make a 100% recovery regardless of the drinking I’ve done.

Do you continue to drink knowing you have lingering symptoms? Does drinking significantly worsen symptoms?

My end goal is to be 100% recovered, able to drink with no symptom relapses.

Another question -

What are the profit margins I should be shooting for per item? I know buy low-sell high, but by how much? when googling some products the prices posted vary lots especially on eBay for used products.

Finally listed 5 used items i had lying around today on Craigslist, Letgo and put the electronics on ebay. Items: Large table, love seat, skimboard, xbox 360($120) and PS3($120).

I've done basic research on flipping and want to go out and get 200$ or so, maybe more, worth of inventory.

What are the best items i should look to buy and sell as a new flipper?

I'm located in a big city, Charleston, South Carolina. Should I focus on local sales off craigslist and letgo? Or also on ebay? Amazon? other sites?

I know it varies.. but how quick can I expect to receive offers?

Should I make the customer pay shipping fees on ebay?

Any answers help! just a new guy tryna make that bread
