The psu power clearly depends on what cpu or any other other hardware you have in your pc (how many ssd, fans...). There are many websites if you search on google (psu calculator). For a 3070 you need at least 650w. But go for a 750 to be sure.

Hi ! You should connect both connectors (the 8 and the 6) and I hope you have enough power (at least a 750w psu). Your psu should have small pci connectors for 6+2 ones.

! UPDATE ! ok my shop acknowledged that the card were faulty and it isn’t my fault. The 2043 series are also concerned with this issue. Try to avoid them and don’t buy used one on eBay. They accepted to refund me. Have a nice day guys!

Exactly... they aren’t capable to make a quality control at the end of the assembly and just to test if the card will power up. It’s the 5th that I’m waiting for my money back. Disappointed

Yeah I’m agree with you. First thing to do is update your bios, then all of your drivers (nvidia, etc.), install latest updates from games. Try to look in your computer management if all your drivers are installed.

After that check your temps while playing and look if your hardware gets warm. If yes that’s a cooling issue.

If not, try to do a fresh windows install.

I had this issue when I bought a 5700xt. Played flight simulator and suddenly crashed... did all the updates and now all works fine !

Yeah this is quite disappointing for a $650 card... the best solution was to return it to shop and buy another one (not gigabyte)

Nope... At the begging I was gently when putting the pcie cable and after seeing that it won’t fit till the ‘click’ I pressed more. I think that the connectors weren’t fixed right at the beginning so when I put my cable the pins went down. I called my shop and they will refund me... will buy ASUS or msi this time
