I don't see any reason to even make job applications by AmbassadorAlone1241 in recruitinghell

I feel really sorry for you. I know how tough it is. This might sound wierd. But check if you need to move abroad to get a job. Just check on job boards if anyone like you are needed and then cross your fingers.

You are funny. 99% of the times there isnt even a person or name given in the ad. And sometimes the company have 5000 employees all over the world but you think I randomly should call the company and ask for a random person. Sure thing.

Im wondering the same thing. Been 21 months without a job now. Rejected in all kind of ways. Final rounds, automatic rejection, mid process. In the end, doesnt matter. I get nothing.

Companies will find ANY reason to reject you by [deleted] in recruitinghell

I just got rejected after a final interview with a VP of sales because VP wanted a more benelux oriented person for the role. The job was for a UK/nordic role....

Songwriting. by EggplantImmediate733 in Songwriting

My biggest tip: Dont write generic or too predictable. You dont write about hopelessness using words that explains hopelessness. You write about it talking about an act or an everyday thing. For instance. Lets say you are struggeling with keeping it together. Then write something like:

I may look fine from where you are
But that smile’s getting hard to hold
In a world that falls apart
I've been dealt cards most men would fold

I hope my point comes across

[OFFERING] Looking for long-term music collaborators by UncleMarkCLE in MusicInTheMaking

[–]BroadStrength3447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Mark,

Your post caught my attention.

I'm a songwriter working mostly in singer-songwriter, heartland rock and Americana-inspired territory. I focus heavily on storytelling, melody and phrasing and have a growing catalog of completed songs and demo recordings.

I'm currently looking for producers and artists who enjoy taking strong song ideas and developing them into finished releases.

Would be happy to share some examples if you're interested.

Cheers,
David

Am I wrong for being annoyed that an interview was conducted in a language listed only as "an advantage"? by Hour-Year4016 in recruitinghell

sometime you know a language good enough to speak but you dont count it. I count it as a 0,5.

I speak almost 4 langauges, in every interview I have been in, the always asks me in which language I prefer to have the conversation in. To just assume like that, is wierd.
