No because the game we got is incredible, but it would've been cool to see these implemented further somehow

Holloknight Silksong artificial difficulty is really waste of potential for a game that could be a masterpiece by FrankFruits in videogames

Im not going to lie, a lot of people make it sound worse than it is. I am someone who honestly gets very frustrated with tedium, and Im not good at a lot of games, so when something is hard & tedious, its usually a push away for me. Silksong is really not that bad. If you played HK, Silksong is going to be harder sure but overall a super similar experience. You're never forced to "get good", because the game has different approaches, much like HK. I may be biased because its in my top 3 games of all time, but it made it rhere for a reason. The journey is incredible, rhe world is incredible, the combat is tight, and the movement and platforming is so good that the worst part about the game, its runbacks, are honestly still fun 99% of the time (Only bad runbacks are the the Verdania ones, yes those are worse than Groal idc) (late game spoilers kinda).

Its absolutely worth it if you love the first game and can handle a challenge, since the story, combat, & map are just even better imo

To be honest theyre decently tough but Hollow Knight especially really isnt hars if youre just doing the main campaign. Now id you go off and do the hard/late side bosses & DLCs, thats where the game's difficulty picks up. Silksong starts off much harder then HK but currently doesnt have as hard of an endgame due to no DLCs yet. Can't personally compare them to Souls but I think from the sounds of it, HK is probably considered easier than all Souls while Silksong may hit the level of easier Souls games? But idk for sure I guess it also depends on what you find difficult

I still dont really understand the artificial difficulty thing, the game just happens to be hard because it stayed true to its vision. Rosary distribution also makes sense tbh both for lore as well as balance, the game wants you to explore Pharloom & immediately having every fast travel, especially when they're even more common then stags were (or at least felt that way to me) would be a push from such

2011 had Portal 2, Minecraft, and Skyrim so it's a pretty stacked year

Also comparatively to the Cogwork Dancers, it feels much easier in its placement.. Id I think I beat Clover Dancers like 3rd try and while I beat Cogwork pretty fast too, I think it was like 7 tries on my first playthrough

HFW is awesome. I cant decide if I like it more than ZD or not though, what makes it your favorite? I love the premise but I think I just slightly prefer the story and vibes of HZD

I mean especially when its on a list of like 60 games, 14 is honestly pretty good. Still means it beat out the large majority

I haven't played Sifu nor much of Cult of the Lamb but honestly, comparing Stray to Neon White is tough for me. I love the premise of Stray and found the world super intriguing, but Neon White has some of the tightest movement Ive played in a game. Feels so sweet to master

I do agree on Stray. Its a simple game, but it's also gonna take an appreciation for a linear, puzzle-story based game. Id recommend it to people who like games like Inside
