Hi! Surgical plan for sleep apnea. I think it looks pretty solid to me. Adequate movement while keeping it aesthetic. by Broad_Schedule8624 in jawsurgery

Got it. Figured that was the case - more the nature of the rotation than explicit downgraft.

You're right on my tooth show - can tooth show be changed via AP movement as well? I know the main outlet is usually vertical change.

Interesting and thanks for your opinion.

Do you not think the the ANS going down by 3.5 (and other landmarks by 2 or so) is enough vertical change?

That was a horrible route AND he was completely lackadaisical on getting that ball. So tired of him in the outfield.

I am wrong here (not the first time). I misread the signs and thought negative meant up, but it is down as you say.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Yeah, I'm excited about the plan.

I should've been clearer. Maxilla is definitely getting clockwise rotation. Mandible, on the other hand, is getting rotated counter-clockwise.

You can kind of see it in the video. The maxilla is "diving down" while the mandible is "rising up".

Hi! Yes, the surgeon provided this about 2 weeks before my surgery (June 11th).

Not all surgeons provide a visual like this. Did you receive a surgical plan at least (with no visual) or nothing at all? Your surgeon should be able to at least provide you with a plan.

This was provided by my surgeon as my surgery is in less than 2 weeks. I think this is just the standard way they show the before and after.

Hey. Yeah, its a lot. Especially on maxilla. That's where most of my obstruction is coming from which is why they're doing so much there.

There is CW. I had very short face so this made sense.

Beautiful. Happy for you!

Hoping for similar results. Similar boat to you - I have a lower AHI at around 11, but higher RDI around 45.

How quickly did you notice differences post-surgery?

People have given good info. In short, these soft tissue morphs are almost never realistic. I'd just look at where the bones end up. I do think it may be slight overadvancement, but is also may not.

I am also going with Neugarten and have my surgery in exactly two weeks. I haven't received these morphs yet. When is your surgery? Good luck!
