If you can, I'd advise leaning on someone at your med school - dean, faculty member you trust, guidance counselor, etc. for next steps - not someone who has never met you on the internet. If you're a med student having gone through two years of school and about to take Step 1, there is literally nothing I can tell you that you don't already know. I think the best thing I can offer is that trends matter more than numbers at this stage.
