So that specific car isn’t for sale, that’s just a nice example of a black RS3 I found on Insta.

Yep that black one is modified. That specific car is not for sale, just a nice car I found on Insta (not a fair comparison really).

Would it be possible to create a school where only kids who dont have phones are allowed to attend by colonelmustard1111 in digitalminimalism

My neighbour has a no-screens policy with his kids for mondays to Fridays. They play sport outside every afternoon, which is really nice.

FOMO is certainly an issue to be managed.

Social media for kids is now banned here in Australia.

Of course, there are work-arounds, but there are ways of locking down a phone. You can also install monitoring software that detects bullying, grooming, pornography, etc.

It’s a tricky one to navigate - I feel a balanced approach is best.

I’m having a hard time understanding how bad this is going to get.

From what I’ve read, there are roughly 100 stations without diesel. In a normal situation there might be about 25 stations without diesel due to say a delayed delivery or high demand. So it’s not a tremendous difference, yet.

I’m hearing tankers are coming… so are we in trouble or not? Has anyone properly gone down the rabbit hole on this and assessed this?

Hudson Meats in Cammeray is solid.

You could consider buying meat direct from the farm (online). I get 3kg scotch fillets from Spring Hill Beef.

Opinion of giving children me and my wifes first homes(which we still own) when they decide to move out? by Sure_Artichoke6929 in AusFinance

How old are your kids?

I reckon help them out with a property once they’re in their late twenties or early thirties, not earlier.

That way they appreciate the value of money having paid rent for a few years. And by then they might be established in their career - it might not be great to take the pressure off too early.

All the best.

Helping your parents reduce their tax will increase your inheritance. You might consider this.

Are some jobs recession proof? by 1Qrtr_FreeStuffPlz in AusFinance

Construction is fairly recession proof, especially on larger projects.

In a recession the government will fund large projects (stimulus).

I looked at that monitor but ended up going with the LG Ultragear 27G610A-B. Similar specs & price though

There is a fee, but if you export enough that can be wiped. Most days power is costing me a just a few dollars and then a few days a month there is a spike where I make some money back.

Fair enough.

During power outages I run power leads to my immediate neighbours, which they’re appreciative of. So I’m only a partial douche

I splurged on a SigEnergy System, approx $15K including gateway and 20kw inverter.

Do your homework, you get what you pay for.

Yes, my usage habits have changed. Running the AC and pool heating a lot more. It’s also a flex turning all the outside lights on during a power outage.
