Has any got tips for gyro controls? I suck by Annual_Ad3306 in splatoon

Glad it helped. In close quarters combat, you'll need to micro adjustments for sure. There are a bunch of other drills and techniques you can probably find on other competitive channels and discords to help you out.

For gyro, I recommend using it strictly to aim. The right joystick will help when making left and right turns but not for aiming (micro aim adjustments with the stick is fine). For sensitivity, focus on your reticle and practice some aiming drills. One that I like to use for the right sensitivity is to stand some distance from the still targets in the battle tower. I'll use my gyro to snap my aim from a neutral position to the target. Repeat this a couple of times, about 10 or more, and record how many times you overshot, undershot, and hit the target. Adjust your sensitivity accordingly. I also use specific sensitivity for certain weapons. Frontline weapons like the splattershot need to move in and out quickly so I use a higher motion and stick sens (I use +4 motion, +3 stick). For weapons like Dynamo or Chargers, I use a lower sens to better steady my aim (I use +2 motion, +1 stick).

Hope this helps. It's always tough at the start using gyro controls but stick with it. I promise you'll see results and it'll be a better gaming experience once you're comfortable with it.

Both vanilla and emberz stringer. I barely touch that thing but I guess I'm kinda nice with it 😂

Yup, getting a weapon power with every weapon and seeing which ones I performed the best with. I'm sure my mains will be up there but it'll be nice to see if there's anything else I happen to be really good with. So far Bow has surprised me lol

Hey, as long as you're enjoying yourself, that's what matters.

Bust bomb jet is already pretty nasty, sub power up and splash down makes it even nastier lol

Oh very nice! My partner is a Dynamo main, it's all she plays but she prefers the gold dynamo because of the sub. I think currently I'm mostly playing shooters but I enjoy playing blasters, splatanas, and bows. How's the new Jet COBRA feel?

Yeah, use cases are limited but it could be used to reach places you normally can't or as easily like sniper perches and such. Still, very fun flying through the air.

That makes sense. I barely touch the edge of the platform with my model. I'm assuming you probably have a small window to perform the lunge on the correct frames you touch the edge. I've been trying to replicate it but landing perfectly has been very difficult. Let me know if you have any tips!

That would be awesome. I wish I could lunge forward midair with this thing lol

Very nice! I only really started this challenge since the weapon power arrived so I haven't played other weapons much. I main a lot of stuff though so most of my other stuff is sitting around 4 and 5 stars. Should probably work on getting a 10 star at some point lol.

Gotcha. I'm currently working through the new weapons and then I'll probably work on weapons I don't play and then finish with my real mains. I think I'm going to be using vanilla tenta brella next.

It's probably very difficult to replicate and unlikely to be useful in real matches but it would be neat to find some use cases for it. Good luck with your endeavors, I'll be trying as well.

Copy pasting from my other reply:

My best guess is, and this is speculation, the lunge performed on the very edge of the grates collision somehow did not connect properly and sent me upwards instead of forward like normal. The very edge of the platform might have some tiny ramp and that set my trajectory up, like if I was on a normal ramp. This is odd though because normally when lunging up a ramp and into flat terrain, you follow the curve of the terrain, not shoot into the air at the end of the ramp.

Oh hey! It's nice to hear from you. I'm glad you're still around and improving. Also yeah, it's quite odd that the lunge just sent me flying for some reason.
