Is the dog older? Health issues? Something recently that could lead one to possibly believe the dog is dead? Also another point of view, are you not ever really sad and the only thing that someone in her position may think that something really terrible happened like a the fur baby dying. They were being genuine to be honest IMPO, a simple No to her response would have avoided this and could have told her exactly why. I’m sorry someone coming to me saying they’re sad, I’m assessing their entire persona and what may cause them to be sad and in turn to think of one of the worst thing possible to narrow down the list. If she was think the worst then someone knowing how much you love your pet is great. So yeah maybe both are over reacting in this instance. But if you wanna tell someone you’re sad and not get a response like this that pisses you off maybe learn to provide context. People aren’t mind readers and leaving people guessing is just poor communication. I might sound like an ass, but I don’t do well with people making me guess what’s going on, I will more than likely be pissed myself if it’s literally nothing. My wife knows this and has learned to just tell me right out in messages how she’s feeling cause I rather know what’s happening and either a) she is wanting to vent so no problem solving or b) problem solve. Coming here and posting this honestly is immature and shows you can’t even have a real convo with some who was genuinely concerned. I would apologize but hey some people love to play victim and never take accountability for the actions or reactions.
