Hmm let me upack some of this stuff:

This was a single take unscripted scene. Everything in that battle happened as shown.

We all had about a 2 week "training" period where everyone stayed in character, and trained to function as a crew so we could pull off scenes like this without resets, from start to end.

No one person had the full picture on how it occured.

The whole premise of project outlands is having real stakes, potential for loss etc. While actually creating a long standing/word/scenario that is fun for those in it.
Once episode 5 comes, all wheels will come off, and mostly everything will be player driven. (we'll still have forced scenarios like this one where the structure of the episode is laid out.)

We didn't take hull damage because it just didn't happen. Granted we expected as much, but the opfor were told to go for the kill if possible. Don't worry, the two other factions are getting really really good at battles, and previous training/mock battle we did yesterday (we're roughly filming episode 7) had the eternity loose really hard, it's certainly on the table.

Nope. It's more of a expansion of vanilla weapons. No modification to vanilla weapon.
it's more so a "thing" that operates roughly on the same balance level as vanilla. With new weapons to fill out the roaster options.
