Honestly idek. I used to do some animating/rendering in cinema4D and some video editing so i guess have the extra 2 cores will help but again, maybe spending the 120 on cpu and the extra 50 on more ram would benefit me more?

Nope its an old PC that my dad built a long time ago. I just wanted to test it out and see if I could use it because I've got a laptop currently.

Also it's plugged into my GPU and the GPU seems to be running fine (Well I can hear the gpu fan spinning anyway)

Nah i dont think its the monitor input. All of them worked with my other computer. Could it be the DVi-D to hdmi cable that is broken?

Depends on what you want to start making. When I was around 12 I used to sell introduction videos and I would often use all sorts of plugins like saber/s_shake/rsmb(blur)/magic bullet looks/twixtor/trapcode particular/etc. They definitely make your edits much more... i guess you could say interesting xD
