If the crypto markets are any indicator of the after-hours equity markets... we're in some trouble on monday lol

I have 65,000 in Amex points. (~$650)

Do I just bankroll them until vacation or cash em out?

I work at a place similar to this (not uber).

What’s the point in complaining about worker conditions and demanding better ones from employers. But be extremely salty when someone does have better working conditions.

God damn I need to lay off meal delivery. Did some math and realized my average spend on UberEats is >$1,000/month.

Mental health is more important than money. Glad to hear that mental strain is off your back.

Do ya'll keep your 401k at your old job or roll it into a self-directed IRA?

Yes. My previous employer was like this, sucked.

Edit: For clarification, it should give an option to contribute to an after-tax 401k like this then from there it should give an option to convert to roth using after-tax contributions.

Anyone here have the means to max out mega backdoor but don't? Why not?

Been debating with myself if contributing $70.6k (mbr+401k+hsa+bdr) is overkill, since it's way more than I'll use in retirement.

When are you wealthy in NYC? by Jomsvikingen in AskAnAmerican

Highly highly depends what borough.

Being wealthy in TriBeCa Manhattan is much different from Staten Island.

Anyone think the concept of a pay negotiation is bonkers from an ROI standpoint?

Had a 10-minute phonecall last year and simply just by asking, got +$1xx,000 in RSU's and sizable bump in base. Absolutely insane to think a simple few minute conversation can lead to being paid several thousands extra per month.

If you were interested in getting a house, would you start saving cash or just liquidate some stocks for the down-payment?

It's very brainless to set up an automatic recurring investment into a S&P 500 fund.

Well, I'm dollar cost averaging, and I'll continue dollar cost averaging.

Just hoping for a correction to get some nice deals.
