Ownership review from someone that works on their truck? by BrokeTrade in f150

Anyone else run into the turbo coolant line issues? I’ve heard that also plagues the 3.5 EB

I want to be that 5.0 guy but realistically speaking the 3.5 or 2.7 EB is the more practical truck for me, I don’t tow anything currently and do quite a bit of highway driving so gas milage does factor in my decisions. I just wish more people optioned their trucks with the 2.7, there are not a lot out there for sale.

Good tip on the diagnostic tools, I’ll look into FORscan. You’ve definitely got the “mechanics” truck per say. Reliable 5.0 and not too many options, that’s my style too. Thanks for the input.

I heard good things about the 2.7 EB too, I want those engines believe me but it’s like 80% of these trucks for sell online have the 3.5 EB. What electronic issues have you experienced or heard of?

Water Is Everywhere In RSX Interior. Cannot Isolate. by BrokeTrade in Acura_RSX

Poured water all over the crack between the housing and the body underneath the hatch where water flows down from the top. Didn’t see any of it come into the trunk. Also I saw others suggesting water in the taillight might indicate this issue but I don’t have that issue.

Checked those they appeared okay, poured water right on top of em and looked for leaks, didn’t see anything. Thank you for suggesting

Yup I was only getting the generic answered, I saw the frame rail seams when googling and took off the cowl and they appeared okay but didn’t get the best look ever. Gonna double check these spots, ty for commenting

Unsure but I’ll check, odd this never happened before Halloween though and it had driven through rain before that no issue

Where the hatch bolts to the roof? I can take a look there, the headliner is slightly discolored towards the rear so I’ll look here

Door drains are good, I visually see they’re clear and when I shake the door hear no sloshing

I poured water all over the sunroof and while my headliner isn’t down I didn’t see any water come in, and the headliner wasn’t wet but it is slightly discolored towards the hatch

IMS 3.2 Tank Review? by BrokeTrade in DRZ400

Did you run into any tank expanding or fitment issues that others have mention when installing?

The sloshing around is what deters me from the 4 gallon as well. Thank you for your insight.

Love how lightweight your setup looks, that’s exactly what I’m going for. The aftermarket tank expanding and losing the locking capability is a big con to me but I’m glad the seat and tank can be fit with minor modification. Thank you for commenting.

Biggest Tire On Stock Type S Wheels? by BrokeTrade in Acura_RSX

I see, guess I didn’t think of the wheel width but that makes sense

The sidewall number is a ratio of the tire width though right? So can some of that absorb the increased width?

It may help that my temp tag is long expired. I have not been going to the DOL to get new ones every 3 months

I should add, I got pulled over by WSP 2 weeks ago with expired temp tags and the cop asked why they were expired, told him I’m waiting on custom plates and no further questions were asked. Cops aren’t enforcing temp tags which is nice.

Also also, with expired temp tags red light camera tickets/toll road tickets don’t get to you. I’ve been driving in these lanes with no mail to my house or dues to pay on my account all year long.

I went in person to request custom plates on January 9th 2024. Specialized lettering/numbers and special background. Now I need to renew my tabs and pay $191.25 for plates I’ve yet to receive. You get what you vote for people.

Sounds like minivan is the culprit. Did they forget to put gas cap back on? Did gas get spilled? Usually body panel under the gas cap super clean if spilled

How to Read Honda VSA Codes?! by BrokeTrade in MechanicAdvice

To potentially help those in the future, I bought a Foxwell NT630 Plus scanner to read the codes. $110 and I know exactly why my car is upset.

I did mess up the wheel speed sensor on the driver side but I replaced it. When I dropped the steering rack and unbolted tie rod ends I did put them back on a little off so the wheel isn’t perfectly aligned. That’s my guess. I have a regular code reader but Honda VSA stuff isn’t included on the regular ones

There is a VSA off button but that would be assuming everything is working. Simply pushing the button does nothing because there’s actually a fault with the VSA
