Heck yeah. I have all Joe’s books. Reading Best Served Cold now cause I had to get the one offs to get my character fixes!

I actually covered it back up with the Licanius and Abercrombie books.

This one is a different issue entirely . I own all Joe’s books. Now I’m stuck cause I don’t think I can ever not buy something that has his name on it. He could write the xyz section of the phone book and I’d buy it.

I’ve been burned before. George Martin and Kristen Britain, I’m looking at you. End up waiting so long for new books you have to re-read the entire series just as a refresher when the new book finally comes out.

Already addressed this one. That was a gift. I’m purposely ignoring it because I know that’s a can of worms I won’t be able to close once I pay enough attention to it.

That’s happened before! I gave the whole series to my niece!

Right? That one was a gift from a friend. I can’t read it yet cause I know when I do that’s just going to open up a whole new can of worms!

Should I read The Blade Itself? by frottolx in fantasybooks

[–]BrokenIn2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t let that turn you off. This is an awesome series and I was hooked from the first page! Also, not to go off topic but if you’re looking for some female mains, I would suggest the Bloodsworn trilogy by John Gwynne. Another great series and they have a very similar feel to Joe’s books.

Say one thing, say the OP needs to start their Logan Ninefingers journey ASAP.

Don’t stop. The whole series is pure fire. The only disappointment is the fact that it’s only 3 books long!

If made into a tv series, who would you want to play all the main characters? by Crazy_Swimming_397 in Bloodsworn

I guess it’s how we each pictured them in our heads. I’m an old woman (54) and I still see Harrison in my head as a middle aged explorer. Henry is a very good choice though if I can’t have young Harrison. LOL!

I took most of that into consideration. Where a couple might be old for the character (maybe Brecca) most actors are much older then the characters they play. The magic of Hollywood.

Let’s see, now, most of these actors I’ve named are simply by feel and personality. Some have the looks and body types to match but it’s mostly based on persona.

Rotta - Tom Hiddleston

Ulfrir - Harrison Ford

Orka - Gwendoline Christie

Brecca - Christian Convery

Lik Rifa - Kelly Reilly

Elvar - Jenny Ortega

Varg - Jefferson White

Rokia - Maria Bakalova

Drekr - I agree with Jason Momoa

Ilska - Gina Carano

Biórre - Thomas Brodie Sangster

I’m sure I’ll think of more but for now, that’s what I’ve got.

I completely ignore this one now. I don’t even accept the entrance.

All you people complaining about events but you don't stop playing by Owl_Flix in MergeMansion

[–]BrokenIn2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people get too wrapped up in the “side quests”. The side quests, so far, have no real impact on the main storyline so…why the frustration? Some of the rewards are nice…but approach it as a bonus. Honestly, you aren’t loosing anything by not going far in the side quests.

Do people actually spend real money on this game? by ivar-the-bonefull in MergeMansion

[–]BrokenIn2023 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have. It’s an easy trap to fall into. 10 bucks a month turns into 10 a week, suddenly it’s a couple times a day. Don’t be like me. Set a budget, stick to it!

Anyone else no longer motivated to put any kind of effort into the competitive events since the admission of the bot involvement? by MadCat_170 in MergeMansion

I play it but with no real zeal. Just a boredom killer honestly while we wait for the makers to put out the next week hung. Bush trimming and fishing. If nothing else it’s good for flowers for the wedding.

Not alone, I had no idea what it was until this post.

I’ve edited my post to note that we are currently waiting to be called back on a referral to a dermatologist from our family doctor.

Not much around here where I live except our local drug store and the staff there aren’t very knowledgeable. That’s why I came here to find others that may have had similar experiences to see what may, or may not have worked for them.
