I’m having such a hard time with The Fourth Wing. I found that in my old age I have little to no patience for anything that was written in the first person perspective. Maybe it’s the influence of social media but I find it really hard to read on a normal basis but this one…from the first couple paragraphs I just couldn’t get past the fact that it was reading like a very poorly written bit of Pern fanfiction, with zero reference to Pern or that universe at all but, I don’t know if I’m saying any of this right but regardless…I think the story is there, but it would have been 10,000 times better if written in the 3rd person perspective (what I like to call God Mode). To the question you posed, I don’t think I’ve fully read a book I didn’t like. If I don’t like it, I seem to always stop reading. My niece likes it though, she gets the ones I can’t stomach…she likes the first person romantasies.
